This is a winter-themed update so be sure to bring your sweaters.

To start off, I would like to thank everyone who has been using our report system. This is a MASSIVE help and we made sure to bust out as many of your bugs as possible. We noticed a bug where leaning can cause your gun to start shaking. For now, make sure to lean again to get rid of it!

We have set a new release date of December 20, 2023 @ 2PM Central with Steam. This is next Wednesday!

Hey Survivors, and a special shoutout to our newcomers! ːsteamhappyː We're still in the exciting phase of awaiting Steam's final content review. Meanwhile, here's a sneak peek into our development journey and the latest enhancements we've made to ZSGO:

Major Improvements:
- Fixed issue with saving build parts on dedicated servers. Now, build to your heart's desire without worries!
- Streamlined the player mission menu to fix issues with it being broken entirely after loading an existing save.
- Resolved over 6 null pointer errors, significantly increasing stability across the board.
- Fixed the 'scope blackout' issue during aiming for clearer targeting.
- Fixed a bug where mouse sensitivity could unexpectedly drop to zero.
- Fixed a crash that could happen when remapping multiple keybinds, get those controls just how you want them!
- Disabled gravity on zombies at death to prevent them from falling through the map. However, steep slopes might still be tricky.
- Synced client zombie positions post-death with the server to improve looting consistency.
- Heavily optimized and refactored zombie spawning method. Should be seeing more of them on the dedi now too but more to come on this soon!

Dedi Server Upgrades:
- Ensured autosave is always on in the MainLevel, so your progress is safely stored.
- Added password protection for dedicated servers for extra security.
- Resolved port issues for a more stable connection.
- Client version checks are in place to prevent mismatched server joins.

Visual & Gameplay Tweaks:
- Ramped up the details on some mountain meshes, making the landscape more vivid. (Not on the map yet!)
- Added a path to climb & parkour up the mountain with the radio tower (you may find some loot there).
- Cigs now reduce radiation by -25! A surprising twist in our post-apocalyptic world.
- More map enhancements and collision fixes to improve navigation and interaction. Keep the reports coming!

Developer Notes:
- We’re rigorously testing package builds and tweaking them as needed. More updates on this soon!

Steam Review – Community Update

Hello again survivors!

This is just a little update on the pending content review.

The content review is now pushing 5 weeks since the submission of our final build and we still have not gotten an ETA on how much longer it could take.
We have been reaching out to other game developers and forums as well in an attempt to investigate the situation and get more data. There have been a lot of delays for indie developers publishing games on Steam recently, but unfortunately, our case seems to be taking far longer than usual.
We have also made sure to submit follow-up tickets and are standing by for an update!

Bad news aside, we can’t thank you enough for all of the wonderful feedback and bug reporting. The community has been invaluable to us so far and with all of our visions melding together it makes us very excited for the future of ZSGO. Our biggest concern with missing the launch deadline rises from our desire to do right by you, and though we are regretful of the hold up we are also grateful in that this has given us some extra time to iron out some big issues that will hopefully enhance the experience for everyone once the game is available on a larger public scale.

To our Patreons as well, thank you so much for your generosity and enthusiasm! Having people jump in early to really get their feet wet with the game as we are ironing out some bugs in this growth period while also dealing with this steam limbo has been so huge, honestly can’t thank you enough.

Once we hear back, we will be sure to let you all know ASAP.

Early Access Beta: v0.4.3 Thanksgiving Update

We are excited to bring you some updates to kick off the holidays.
There are a few issues that we will need to work out. That's the name of the game though.
Bare with us survivors! And remember, your ⁠🦟│bug-reports are extremely helpful.

Zombies and AI Mechanics 🧟‍♂️🤖:
-Added 30-second cooldown for zombie spawn points ⏲️.
-Improved zombie removal from spawn manager post-player kills 💥. (Part of cause for no zombies on servers)
-Effect for zombies spawning added ✨.
-Enhanced AI spawning to prevent mid-air falls 🚫🌌.
-Temporary fix to reduce zombies falling through the map 🕳️.

User Interface and Experience 🖥️👀:
-Updated pause menu with new main level map 🗺️.
-Loading indicator shows during save progress, with a notification upon completion and save status 💾.
-Modified server browser menu to combine dedicated and listen server listings 🔍.
-Added road names to map and level 🛣️.

Gameplay and Mechanics 🎮🛠️:
-Ladders will lead to far less deaths!
-Fixed sprint function bug when key binding is changed ⚡.
-Fixed a bug where the time change wasn't activating on clients, affecting automatic lights and foliage emissive changes between day and night 🌞🌙.
-Resolved issue with save list not updating immediately after creating a new save 🔄.
-Attempted to fix player stash widget initialization issue, pending further testing 🧪.
-Resolved saving issues with build parts on dedicated servers 🏗️.
-Adjusted first-person hand animations for running, walking, and breathing to better match footsteps 👣.
-Fixed bug where some guns had higher movement speeds than the default 🏃‍♂️💨.
-Removed 'sonic mode' feature 🚫🔊.
-Container loot NERFED TO THE GROUND!!! 📉💥
-Item weight rebalance (nerfed to the ground) ⚖️.
-More Stone nodes.
-Many collisions were fixed 🔧.
-Adjusted weight of some items ⚖️.
-General consumable, resource, weapon loot nerfs 🍽️🔫.
-Crafting tweaks and increases the rarity of keycards 🔑.
-Taint transformer pickup fixed 🛠️.

Market and Resources 🏪📈:
-Added stone to market 🪨➕.
-Mineable resources used to make C4 are no longer in the market 🚫💣.

Pointers:
Zombies may be a little weird with spawning on servers. We are looking into it more but it may work good for some.
Dedicated servers also seem to be going offline when certain players disconnect. We will be sure to have them running as much as possible, however if there are too many clients causing this issue on disconnect then we will most likely leave them down until we have a solution.
