Update 1.0.6 – New hardcore game mode and several improvements

First things first, we're excited to introduce a new “Chaos” game mode that will be unlocked after completing the main story campaign! Brace yourselves for an onslaught of relentless chaos and unpredictable challenges! This mode offers no respite, smooth difficulty increase, or gentle progression - just pure, unadulterated mayhem! Prepare for the ultimate test of your skill and strategy, where only the most experienced players will thrive. High levels are required!

But that's not all. Check out the other changes, and please ensure that you have the latest version (1.0.6) of the game installed.



List of changes:

  • Added the possibility to delete recipes from the recipe list.
  • Added inventory sorting control on the gamepad.
  • Improved unit selection area. Now it's easier to select a unit with a click.
  • Fixed an issue with unsaved game volume settings upon restart.
  • Fixed an issue with untranslated words when changing the language.
  • Fixed issues with SFX effects.
  • Fixed an issue with the softlock in the victory window.
  • Fixed issues with fonts when some characters are missing in some languages.
  • Fixed an issue with losing progress on certain achievements when exiting the game.

Small hotfix 1.0.5

This small hotfix resolves the issue with the timer freezing during the runs, along with several other issues. Please ensure that you have the latest version(1.0.5) of the game installed.

List of changes:
  • Fixed an issue with the timer freezing.
  • Fixed issues with the Cyberdinosaur unit.
  • Fixed an issue with the cursor disappearing when using spells.
  • Added one more track to the game and its soundtrack. If you already bought the game’s soundtrack, the new track will also be available to you.

AI improvements update 1.0.4

The biggest AI improvements update is now live! Please make sure you have the latest (1.0.4) version of the game installed.



List of changes:

  • Units assigned to "collect resources" won't ignore enemies anymore; instead, they will try to fend them off and avoid taking damage.
  • Units assigned to "attack enemies", equipped with ranged weapons, will prioritize attacking enemies and their lairs from a distance.
  • Units assigned to "attack lairs" will no longer ignore enemies. They will engage in combat with them, and attack from a distance if equipped with ranged weapons, and try to avoid taking damage.
  • Units assigned to "attack lairs" won't just stand in the lair dealing damage to it, but they will try to destroy it, avoiding damage themselves.
  • Units assigned to "attack lairs" will try to attack lairs from a minimal distance, ensuring they remain no closer than their combat skills allow.
  • Added extra sorting buttons for body parts in the inventory.
  • Added hotkeys for spell usage.
  • Increased the effects of many artifacts from the treasure trove.
  • Fixed an issue with the inability to start the run when combining 2 artifacts.
  • Fixed a rare issue with losing the earned gold from runs after exiting the game.
  • Fixed other minor issues.

Major Update 1.0.3

The first of two anticipated updates we announced in yesterday's post is finally here! Please make sure that you have the latest (1.0.3) version of the game installed.



List of changes:
  • Increased HP for the Hand boss and reduced the distance by which it could move away from the tower.
  • Increased the armor for titans’ body parts.
  • Increased the damage and HP for the final boss.
  • Increased the damage for the Reaper boss.
  • Increased the target updating speed for all units. Now, the units will find a new target according to their order faster.
  • Added the 3rd upgrade level for the “Statue of Majesty” machine.
  • Added animation of body parts flying into the cauldron in the titan creation window when adding body parts to the recipe.
  • Cleaned away a small area of fog of war around the mini bosses when they appear.
  • Fixed an issue with bosses being spawned in mountains and getting stuck in textures.
  • Fixed an issue with the units not shooting near enemies.
  • Fixed an issue with the units incorrectly setting priorities when choosing a target.
  • Fixed an issue with the tower health bar overflowing.
  • Fixed an issue with the camera moving to the tower instead of the unit's actual position when one was just created and selected during a pause.
  • Fixed an issue with visual artifacts appearing in the main menu on square monitors. Black bars will now be displayed.
  • Fixed an issue with the game working incorrectly on a 1440x900 monitor resolution.
  • Fixed an issue with the VFX of the “Pocket Magnet” artifact.
  • Fixed an issue with the SFX not changing after defeating mini bosses.
  • Fixed an issue with the portal icon being overlapped by the swamp textures.
  • Fixed an issue with the tutorial windows being rendered incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue with the animation of the newly created unit displaying incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue with the inventory malfunctioning after ALT+TAB.

Known issues and upcoming updates

Attention All Necromancers!

We're closely monitoring your feedback and reviews, and we understand that certain aspects of the game may be causing inconvenience. But fear not! We're thrilled to announce that we're currently working tirelessly on not just one, but two big updates that will address many of the issues you've brought to our attention.

These patches will primarily focus on improving the behavior of AI units. Expect significant enhancements such as units intelligently kiting enemies, utilizing ranged attacks when appropriate, and dodging incoming melee strikes. Moreover, units will no longer ignore enemies when they are ordered to "collect". They'll prioritize self-preservation, attempt to dodge attacks, and fight back, all while still obediently following your commands. Additionally, we are implementing balance tweaks and numerous gameplay improvements, including sorting body parts by various attributes like HP, damage, speed, race, and armor.

The first of these updates will be dropping tomorrow! We're eager to share these improvements with you. Also, Steam Community Items are coming soon too!
