As of today, the Steam Playtest has officially begun!

During the Playtest period, all Early Access owners of Aeruta will have the chance to get an early look at the Big Fall Update.
We really wanted to do this as an expression of gratitude for all of your amazing support until now, so we’d be very grateful if you took the chance to play!

At this time, we’re still in the process of developing the final version of the update, so we apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused by performance issues or errors during gameplay.

① Right click Aeruta in your Steam library
② From “Properties...” select “Betas”
③ In the “Private Betas” section enter the following code: bakerypreopen202411
④ Click “Check Code”
⑤ Click “Opt into: ea_playtest – for Playtest 241108”
⑥ Aeruta [ea_playtest] will appear in your Library

◆ Regarding Save Data
While you will be able to pick up from your Early Access save data in the Steam Playtest, please be aware that progress made in the Steam Playtest will not be transferred when the finalized Big Fall Update is implemented.

・Addition of the second island, the next stage of Chaya’s missions
・Addition of mastery skills for the whip and rolling pin, be even stronger than before!
・Addition of new stages to challenge you during your adventure
・New powerful enemies added to the dungeons

・Research even more unique and tasty breads
・Friends can now assist Chaya in running the bakery
・Further development of the bakery and facilities for an even more lively Bakersfield

To show our thanks for all of the amazing support you Early Access players have shown, we’ve decided to make the second island available for an exclusive early play test through Steam Playtest!

The weather in Taiwan is gradually cooling down, and the sun sets earlier.
As October comes to an end... the much-anticipated “Free Autumn Major Update" is almost here!

• [h3]Customize Your Adventure! The Badge System Shines Bright![/h3]
  Chaya's Hero Code Rule 3: "The three things a hero can't be without on their journey: weapons, bread, and 'badges'!"
  
  Starting with the Autumn update, players will be able to choose different badges to take on their adventures⚔️.
  
  Badges are divided into three main types: "Offensive," "Defensive," and "Function."
  This update introduces about 20 badges, each with its own adventure-boosting effects.
  
  Get ready to find your path as a hero!
  
  
• [h3]Unexpected Discoveries During Adventures!?[/h3]
  In addition to the usual adventure and resource stages, the adventure map now features even more surprises!
  
  You might find treasure chests, a lone-standing Effie, and... even more Pattis?
  With all there is to enjoy, before you know it you’ll find yourself at the boss stage!
  
  Besides this, you can now plan your outings with the calendar! Who doesn't love getting things done more efficiently?

  Our hero may have accidentally blown-up a bakery to smithereens...
  but the debt that she’s in must NOT be discovered by the Guild!

  Let’s put all their talents to use, attract more customers, boost sales,
  and create even more business opportunities!

• [h3]Bakersfield is Getting a Major Upgrade! New Decor, New Bonuses... and New Faces![/h3]
  As the reputation of Effie's bakery grows, the tourism industry in Bakersfield is also getting a boost... so it’s about time to renovate the buildings!
  
  Let’s take a look at the new catalog meticulously prepared by Bollio.
  
  This time around, besides enhancing existing structures,
  Bollio also has plans to build a hotel for travelers to rest in (after all, a good rest might have them feeling more generous), a faster checkout counter for Chaya, and an Extendable Grabber made from scraps.
  
  Oh…? What’s this? The last page of the catalog mentions something about a " Cosmic Curios" and a "Genius Scientist Chilala"?
  
  
  That's right, even more new friends are coming to Bakersfield!
  What kind of personalities will these new friends have? Let's give them a warm welcome!

Unfortunately, due to the size of updates, we can't introduce everything all at once—but we’re certain that "Aeruta" is getting closer and closer to the game we envision.

Hello everyone! This is the Aeruta Development Team🔆

Welcome to our first official development log!

It’s been a little while since Aeruta’s Early Access release, but we wanted to check in and let you know the team has been hard at work everyday preparing future updates as well as getting ready for Aeruta’s official release.

To keep you all in the loop, we decided to start a development log so you can see the progress we’ve been making and take a look at what we’re adding in the future!

This is our first time doing something like this, but we’re excited to receive all your feedback and thoughts as we continue to release these updates.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the world of Aeruta!

• [h3]Free Update for Fall🍁[/h3]
  As August came to a close, we said farewell to summer days (even though we’re melting from the heat as we’re writing this…)
  The end of summer means the start of the fall season and with it a brand new free update to enjoy.
  
  Due to the variable nature of game development, we can’t share too many details just yet. But rest assured that you can look forward to the update sometime in November.
  We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you all very soon!
  
• [h3]2nd Stage Design Details[/h3]
  We’re happy to announce that the “Second Island” you’ve all been looking forward to is currently in the late stages of production!
  This island has three different environments, each being inspired by the “aroma” of bread.
  The stages incorporate the fresh aroma of fruit and the intense smell of flowers to create a tropical island atmosphere!
  
  As you venture deep into the dungeons, you’ll encounter all new and extremely dangerous obstacles.
  
  A variety of enemies await you on the island including members of a small bird militia, smoke-scented Pattis, and three new bosses.
  
• [h3]New Resources and New Breads[/h3]
  There are two things that Effie looks forward to the most: Chaya’s safe return from her adventures, and the new ingredients she brings back! After all… you can't make bread without the ingredients, right?
  With the bounty of ingredients Chaya brings combined with the recipes Effie inherited, research for the new breads has already been completed!
  Here’s a little sample of the breads made with tropical island flavors!
  Stay tuned for other breads in the upcoming fall update.🍞🥐
  
• [h3]Progress the Main Storyline![/h3]
  Chaya’s journey to becoming a hero, the epic oven disaster that led her into debt, and a mystery lurking in the shadows… we can only guess what turns this tale will take with the addition of two all-new characters in Bakersfield!
  But this is as far as we’ll go with spoilers! Don’t worry, you’ll have the chance to enjoy all the details in the update coming soon!
  
  Right now, the team is working on stories for each character that you can delve into. Which character are you most interested in getting to know?
  

And that’s all for the news regarding the fall update!

But that wasn’t the only thing we planned to announce… we’ve got one more big announcement for you!
And that big announcement is… all the content we just shared will be available to experience at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2024!!!
This will be an exclusive, early look at everything coming to the new island! If you’re coming to the Tokyo Game Show, be sure to stop by our booth and get a sneak peek!
