The direction of keyboard/mouse control improvements

Hi, Crush Crew!

It's hard to believe it's already been a month since our first beta test wrapped up!
We've been busy taking in all the feedback from our Crush Crew and making improvements across the board.

Moreover, we're getting ready to showcase our game at GStar 2023, the biggest game show in Korea, on November 16th. (We will share some behind-the-scenes moments after the event. 😊)

Today, we'd like to provide a brief overview of the improvements we've planned for keyboard/mouse controls, as promised earlier.

Our goal is to provide a control mechanic that fits keyboard/mouse users on PC, so that skills can be used in the desired direction properly.

Now, you'll be able to choose between Auto Lock-on mode and Manual Aim Mode control options!

1. Auto Lock-on Mode
Your character automatically targets nearby enemies or those you've hit. It is designed for players who are new to BATTLE CRUSH or prefer an easier control scheme.

2. Manual Aim Mode
You can manually adjust the direction and distance as per your preference. While it allows for more precise control, it doesn't support the Auto Lock-on feature. In this mode, your skills will be used to the position of your mouse cursor.

3. Keybinding will also be changed to allow for more flexibility, and mouse buttons will be customizable as well.

With these improvements, we believe that in the upcoming Technical Test, you'll have the flexibility to choose controls that match your playstyle and fully enjoy BATTLE CRUSH.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates and announcements about BATTLE CRUSH through our Announcements and Dev's Notes. Your continued interest is much appreciated!

Key Feedback and Future Plans from the BATTLE CRUSH DEV Team

Hi, Crush Crew!

Firstly, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming interest and participation in the global beta of BATTLE CRUSH.

We began this test phase filled with both excitement and apprehension, and the enthusiastic response and valuable feedback from you all have been incredibly encouraging.

We’ve received extensive feedback from players through Discord, Steam, and various other platforms. Today, we’d like to discuss some of the key points raised and outline the future development direction of BATTLE CRUSH.

☞ Development Direction

1. Keyboard/Mouse Controls

The most significant feedback we’ve received revolves around the keyboard and mouse controls on PC. Many of you have expressed difficulty in executing attacks in desired directions, and have pointed out the inconvenience of not being able to map light or heavy attacks to mouse buttons.

In response to this, we are planning to prioritize optimizing PC controls to provide a key mapping and control balance that is familiar to PC users.

Furthermore, we aim to conduct a Technical Test in the near future to showcase these improvements to our users and validate the enhancements. Please note that the name of this test may change, and we will provide further details on the schedule and other specifics in a future announcement.

2. Limited Beta Test Regions and Modes

Since this was our first beta test, we had to limit the availability to certain countries due to logistical challenges. However, moving forward, we plan to remove these geographical restrictions for our upcoming tests. This decision reflects the needs of our global audience who are eager to experience BATTLE CRUSH. Our development team is truly grateful for the overwhelming interest and support from all of you.

☞ Plans Post-Test

As previously mentioned, our top priority will be improving keyboard/mouse controls. Prior to the Technical Test, we will share our direction for improvements through our official community channels. Additionally, stay tuned for updates on other improvements and new Calixer we’re working on.
