WEEKLY UPDATE!! 9/28/25

[p]This week I kept my focus on fleshing out the scripting for the events. Much like editing a video, cranking out these scenes takes me a couple of playthroughs to really get them just right. All told, I’ve put in around 25 hours of work this week alone.[/p][p][/p][p]The good news is that things are progressing smoothly. From a story standpoint, the update is now playable to about the halfway point. As I go through it, I keep tweaking small things here and there, and each pass makes the experience feel just a little more polished.[/p][p][/p][p]If I had to put a number on it, I’d say the update is roughly 70% complete. At this pace, I should be able to get a working demo into the hands of my testers right before I head off on my Japan trip! My next focus is scripting the largest scene of this update so far, which is a big milestone in itself. There’s still plenty left to do, but I can finally see the finish line for this update out in the distance—and I can’t wait for you all to play it once it’s ready![/p][p][/p][p]Until next week, everyone![/p]

WEEKLY UPDATE!! 9/21/25

[p]This week I made a steady amount of progress scripting out the events for scenes I had written. It’s always so satisfying to see moments that started in my head, then made it to paper, finally come to life on screen. This update includes a few longer dialogue scenes than usual—one in particular that I worked on yesterday took almost the entire day to fully edit because of all its moving pieces. But now that it’s done, that’s one more big task crossed off the list![/p][p]On top of that, I have a very exciting announcement: a new Bad Ends comic by Jun is currently in the works![/p][p][/p][p]This comic is based on the events of Chapter 3 of the Hunter route, imagining what would happen if Mila were to fall into the hands of Mayor Sholz…[/p][p][/p][p]There’s still more work to be done on it, but I’m looking forward to sharing the finished version with you all soon![/p][p]That’s all I have for this week—until next time, everyone![/p]

WEEKLY UPDATE!! 9/14/25

[p]This past week was a little different from usual—it was my birthday week, so I had several plans and appointments with friends and family that ended up taking a lot of my free time. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who sent me kind messages on my day—it really meant a lot. 💖[/p][p]Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, my Birthday Sticker Sale is still going on until the end of this week! The bundle is still 30%! If you’d like to support me and grab a sticker bundle, you can check out my Etsy shop here:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]https://www.etsy.com/listing/4300639166/crimson-veil-sticker-bundle[/p][p][/p][p]As for progress, it was a bit of a complicated week productivity-wise. I didn’t get quite as much done as I had hoped, but I still managed to push forward with scripting some of the earlier scenes—like this one with Mila meeting Chryses:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]On top of that, I spent some time furnishing the rooms of the Lunar Sanctuary, and I can finally share a preview of what it’s starting to look like:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There’s still quite a bit left to do, but every step forward—no matter how small—brings me closer to the eventual release. Thanks so much for sticking with me through it all. Until next time, everyone![/p]

WEEKLY UPDATE!! 9/7/25

[p]This week I focused on building out the Lunar Sanctum dungeon inside RPG Maker. I had already drawn up an outline before, but now I’ve started putting together the skeleton of the dungeon and linking the rooms together. It’s kind of like working on a drawing—I make the rough sketch first to get the overall shape in place, and then refine it later. The structure of the rooms is there, but the next big step is filling them out with decorations, puzzles, and of course, plenty of enemies.[/p][p]I also hit another milestone this week—I finished the last new illustration needed for this update! This one features the silver lycanthrope getting her paws on a helpless Mila…
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The full version is available right now in the Tier 2+ channel on the Crimson Veil Discord, and it will go up on Patreon later this week. If you’d like to check it out, here are the links:
[/p][p]https://www.patreon.com/MKRUdesign[/p][p][/p][p]discord.gg/Mqz6WGn95j[/p][p][/p][p]With that finished, I can officially say all the artwork for this update is done! That includes every new CG, character portrait, and sprite that was still pending. This also bumps the in-game Gallery total up to 170 illustrations—a nice milestone to reach.[/p][p]From here, I’ll be diving deeper into furnishing the Lunar Sanctum and putting together a fair number of puzzles. That means you can expect to see more gameplay screenshots in next week’s update.[/p][p]That’s all for now. Until next week, everyone![/p]

WEEKLY UPDATE!! 8/31/25

[p][/p][p]Progress continues this week as I’ve made some solid headway on expanding enemy variety in the Vampire Route![/p][p]The Lycanthrope enemy has been reworked for the vampire route, and now comes in a range of distinct combat styles. Each design has its own strengths and tactics, adding more flavor and variety to encounters. For example, shown below is the Silverbane Lycanthrope, a magically inclined foe capable of casting devastating spells![/p][p][/p][p]Of course, it wouldn’t be Crimson Veil if these fierce pups didn’t eventually fall to Mila’s vampiric charm. As such, each of them now has their own appropriate Vampire and Ghoul character portrait![/p][p]To cap it all off, I’ve also finished coloring Mila’s bite scene for these new Lycanthrope girls![/p][p][/p][p]Tier 2+ patrons can now view the full version of this artwork—as well as all the vampire and ghoul alts—on the Hall of the Hunters channel over on the Crimson Veil Discord:[/p][p][/p][p]discord.gg/Mqz6WGn95j[/p][p][/p][p]The full art will also be posted to Patreon later this week![/p][p][/p][p]https://www.patreon.com/MKRUdesign[/p][p][/p][p]That’s all for now. Until next week, everyone![/p]
