Coming Soon: Devstream #152!

Warframe's Octavia has joined Prime Access

Warframe's most musical of warframe, Octavia, is now included in Prime Access. Octavia Prime features a stunning new visual design alongside the suite of musical abilities that make her a unique character to play in the MMO game. The Prime redesign is an entirely new look for Octavia, with gold earrings, a ponytail fashioned from auxiliary strings, and a shawzin built into her torso.

Octavia's unique playstyle is built around her Mandachord, an electronic instrument that allows players to put together their own battle music using melody, percussion, and bass. Combine that with the stringed shawzin instrument, which is a playable musical emote, and you can see why Warframe players have been busy filling forums and social media with their arrangements.

A YouTuber and Warframe player called Buff00n has created more than 3,600 tunes with the Mandachord, including tons of covers of popular songs. The Prime Access Bombast Instruments pack adds a new bass-heavy sound to the Mandachord, and the new Aristei Prime Shawzin comes with a new unique note pack for new melodic possibilities.

Warframe needs you to unlink, then re-link, your Twitch account

Heads up, Tenno: Warframe has a new system for Twitch drops inbound, but if you've been set up to receive Twitch drops for a while now, you'll have to unlink, then re-link, your Warframe and Twitch accounts to receive the benefits. You'll want to do this before February 16, which is when Drops 2.0 goes live for the MMO game. Don't worry though, it only takes a minute or two.

Digital Extremes community manager Megan Everett explains the process in a post to the Warframe forums, which you can find here - along with the links you'll need for every step in the (thankfully brief) process. You'll need to log in to Twitch, then log in to your Warframe account and unlink it from Twitch - which you can do by following this link.

That done, head back to Twitch and disconnect your Warframe account - you'll find it under 'Other Connections' in your Settings/Connections page. You'll have to confirm the disconnect action by clicking 'yes'. The important thing here is to make sure that you've unlinked the accounts from both the Twitch and the Warframe sides, at which point you can proceed to link them back up again.

This is our date announce post to allow Tenno worldwide to save-the-date!

We will have our preview thread live in our forums (and Reddit) on February 24th with more information on what’s coming in the Devstream. For now, we can confirm you can ‘ride the ghoul saw’, but there’s so much more to this upcoming Devstream! We’ll be discussing all things Update 30: Call of the Tempestarii! Join us for a deeper look at Sevagoth, the plans for Railjack Revisited 2021, and much much more!
