Warframe holds a funeral for its wall-running rework, but its horror-themed new update is making up for the loss

New Warframe update The Shadowgrapher arrives in March, and it's leaning into horror, complete with an inky new frame. Before that, however, we've got an overhaul for Vauban, a new look for Dagath, and a solemn goodbye to the troubled wall-running redesign. Warframe Devstream 192 brings together creative director Rebecca Ford, Digital Extremes CEO Steve Sinclair, design director Pablo Alonso, community director Megan Everett, and Soulframe lead Geoff Crookes, as we take a look at what 2026 holds for the free Steam game.

The Shadowgrapher Coming in March

Warframe's next update is coming to all platforms in March 2026.

In a break from our usual update cadence, The Shadowgrapher will constitute its own standalone release and will not be an "Echoes" addendum to last year's phenomenally successful The Old Peace.

With new info to come in the weeks ahead — especially during our next Devstream in February — a few tantalizing details have already been revealed.

The Shadowgrapher will debut the 64th Warframe, known as Follie. Inspired by a curious combination of painting and inkblots, we're keeping her specifics under wraps for the time being.
NEW GAME MODE
Accessible via the ruined Vesper Relay on the Star Chart near Venus, a new team-based game mode is also in the works, which will see you squad up with fellow Tenno and complete objectives while being tracked and pursued by an overpowering enemy…

Vauban Heirloom Collection

A new entry in our series of community-driven Heirloom Collections is on the way, once again signifying the passage of time and the dedication of the Tenno!

Vauban Heirloom arrives in the Origin System on February 11, giving you the opportunity to boldly honor his tactical prowess with a full suite of exquisite new Heirloom Customizations.

As with previous Heirloom Collections, there are two ways you can add Vauban Heirloom items to your Arsenal: purchase the Vauban Heirloom Collection via the in-game Market for Platinum, or choose to pay in your local currency (and receive an additional 425 Platinum to spend as you please).

First revealed in 2025, Vauban Heirloom's concept art was originally created by community artist Lua_Luminary before being brought to life by Digital Extremes.

The Vauban Heirloom Collection includes:
 • Vauban Heirloom Skin
 • Vauban Heirloom Signa
 • Vauban Heirloom Color Palette
 • Vauban Heirloom Glyph
 • Vauban Heirloom Sigil
 • Vauban Heirloom Prex Card
Vauban Retouch
Alongside this Heirloom release, the trapper Warframe will also receive a light "retouch" to his Abilities to consolidate and simplify his crowd-controlling theme. We'll have more details to share with you soon!
Valkyr Heirloom Acquisition Update
Please note that upon the launch of Vauban Heirloom, the Valkyr Heirloom Collection will become purchasable via the in-game Market for Platinum only.

Prime Resurgence End of Year Event

Our second Prime Resurgence End of Year Event 2025 rotation is now live until February 12 at 2 p.m. ET!

Like in previous years, this event will include two separate rotations — each containing four pairs of Prime Warframes (that’s 16 Prime Warframes in total), along with their associated Prime Weapons, Accessories and signature Customizations! Additionally, Protea Prime and Caliban Prime will be available during the first rotation via Vanguard Relics.
Rotation 1
- December 18 at 2 p.m. ET to January 15 at 2 p.m. ET
 • Mesa Prime and Hydroid Prime
 • Ash Prime and Inaros Prime
 • Volt Prime and Loki Prime
 • Ember Prime and Frost Prime
Prime Vanguard: The Old Peace, our first rotation, will also honor six exceptional Warframes present during the Perita Rebellion and will feature exclusive Vanguard Relics that include parts for Mesa Prime, Ash Prime, Volt Prime, Ember Prime, Protea Prime and Caliban Prime.

Vanguard Relics are available for Aya containing the Blueprints for the Warframes listed. These new Relics were created specifically for this event to offer players a chance to earn all six Prime Warframes. Given the unique nature of these Relics with their premium vaulted offerings, there will be a purchase limit of 100 per Vanguard Relic (400 total for all Relics) per player in order to maintain Prime economy balance.

Note: Caliban Prime and Protea Prime were both recently available via Prime Access and have not yet been vaulted. To maintain the order of operations with Prime Resurgence and respect those who had purchased these packs through Prime Access, they are excluded from the Regal Aya packs.
Rotation 2
- January 15 at 2 p.m. ET to February 12 at 2 p.m. ET
 • Harrow Prime and Nekros Prime
 • Ivara Prime and Oberon Prime
 • Valkyr Prime and Saryn Prime
 • Garuda Prime and Khora Prime
There will also be a Last Chance rotation running from February 12 at 2 p.m. ET to February 19 at 2 p.m. ET. So the initial 16 Prime Warframes, along with their Prime Weapons and Accessories, will be available again for a limited time! Please keep in mind that Protea Prime and Caliban Prime will not be part of the Last Chance offerings, as the Vanguard Relics will not return for this rotation.
