Patch 0.1.37.1

Bug fix:
  • Item and tongue slots when in a run were gone, they are now back!

Update notes for 0.1.37

[h3]It is Wednesday (!!!), my frudes![/h3]

Finally we were able to finish an update in time, yay!
Rémi hopped on and managed to make the damage numbers change font (what Johanna failed to do two weeks ago). Johanna took her revenge on the note that says that the shop is closed in the beginning of the game, and that worked out so the note is now changing font as it should.

Bug fixes:
  • Damage numbers now use the selected font
  • The note telling you that the shop is closed (before you earned enough froins) now use the selected font
  • The text box on the chapter screen now fit all chapter titles

[h3]About next Wednesday...[/h3]
We have decided to stop the weekly updates and instead do an update every other week, meaning that next update will be on the 2nd of October, then on the 16th of October and so on, you get it, two weeks apart instead of one.

The reason behind this decision is that with the weekly updates we have constantly had to work towards next week's update, with more time between the updates we will be able to work on the bigger things! With that said we will continue to keep the updates in the near future quite small while we focus on the graphics update as the upcoming bigger update.

Update note for 0.1.36

That luck we wished ourselves last week didn't seem to help much but there is still a small change in this update. See if you can find it, or check the spoiler below to find out :)

  • Is that frog still chilling? Yes, and you are welcome to join! Click the chilling frog on the audio settings screen to get the option to listen to the old Froguelike music

Update notes for 0.1.35

[h3]It is.... Thursday, my frogs![/h3]

As you can see we didn't finish this week's update in time, we actually didn't finish much at all but there is still a small (and a little pointless) update out now.

Sometimes things don't work out as planned, this week I (Johanna) was trying to fix the bug with the damage texts not changing font. I thought it would be quite easy but sadly that wasn't the case, and even though I worked a full day extra on it I didn't manage to solve the problem (I won't bore you with the details, but if you do want to know more bout it you can ask me in our Discord server).

So, with that task failed the one thing that partly made it into this update is just a frog chilling somewhere in the menus. The frog was meant to have a function, but time just flew away (meaning too much time was spent on those damage texts) and for now the frog is really just chilling.

Update notes for 0.1.34

[h3]Hey there all frog enjoyers, it's Wednesday![/h3]

This week we are adding options for changing the font in Froguelike, so in case you find the pixel art font (Thintel) difficult to read you can now choose to change the font to Liberation Sans or OpenDyslexic. We also rearranged the settings screen and sorted different settings into different tabs in the book. You will find the font settings under "Accessibility".

Since the two new fonts aren't pixel perfect they will look blurry if you play the game in a low resolution, so if you have problems with the text being blurry try out a bigger resolution under the "Display" settings, thank you!

We weren't able to make this affect the damage texts yet, they will still use the font Thintel no mater what font you choose in the settings.

This change was made thanks to a suggestion over on our Discord server, if you also have suggestions you can join and share them on Discord or here in the Steam forums :)

  • Two new options for fonts in the game
  • Added credits for the OpenDyslexic font
Changes:
  • Rearranged the settings screen
  • Edited some text boxes to make sure all text fits in all three fonts
