Patch 1.0.3

Hello world!

It's Friday, and because it's Friday the team is going to be taking a well earned break for the weekend after the day is done. But before we down-tools, we wanted to push one more patch your way.

Today we're addressing a very troublesome XP-gains bug that some players have been pointing out in the forums. We had a workaround, but now we have a fix.

On top of that we wanted to introduce a quality of life improvement to the audio profile in KITS. We have seen your feedback in the threads, heard the things that were bothering you and made some alterations with that in mind.

Onward to the notes:

  • fixed issues that some players on controller/Steam Deck were having having where XP was not awarded at the end of a run

In response to feedback, the in-fight audio-mix has been improved:

  • slightly quieter music during fights
  • heavier/punchier/louder impact sounds
  • louder character audio overall

We're also looking into the softlocks that players are reporting. This is a troublesome area and it would greatly speed up the debug process if we could take save files from players which are having the issue immediately after the softlock occurs. We'd need the save file before you start a new run though, as a new run would overwrite the file and make it useless for review.

If you are one such player, and you had the time to help us track this, you could make a ticket and attach your save log :

Your save folder is here:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Raw Fury\Knights in Tight Spaces

Your crash folder is here:
C:/Users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData/Local/Temp/Raw Fury/Knights in Tight Spaces/Crashes

And you can submit it to us here:
https://rawfury.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1

We're being cautious with these smaller updates as we're trying to manage the extremely tight testing time we have between patches. We run QA in these one-day windows which is there to make sure we don't break anything when trying to apply these improvements.

I'll still be around the forums over the weekend, keeping track of the issues and feedback you are sharing with us so please keep it coming, especially the positive reviews as we try to reach more players. We're also reading through negative reviews and where possible, letting you know we've addressed your grievances.

Once again from all the team here, thank you thank you thank you!
You're encouragement and support means everything to us and to KITS.

Ground Shatter/Raw Fury

Patch 1.0.2

Another day, another patch.

Folks, you have been experiencing crashes and we've been trying our best to figure out what the hell is causing them. In almost all cases it appears to be something related to the engine, rather than lets say a missing call out in our game logic. With that in mind we've been running a test on a Unity engine update which we're hoping is going to crush this problem, and ideally not cause any new ones.

Speed and accuracy are both priorities so this is a small patch for now:

  • Engine update to resolve random crashes
  • Fixed Softlock that would sometimes manifest at the beginning of the Golem fight

One more thing I would like to mention is that we have a fix related to a brutal XP bug, however it is not going to be in this patch, but rather our next one, which could be tomorrow. The note will be:

  • Fixed issue in relation to XP gains not being recorded

While it's not in this build I feel the need mention it now as it's coming along immediately after this patch so please hang in there if you're experiencing it.

Ground Shatter/Raw Fury

Patch 1.0.1

Hello everyone,

It's been 24 hours since we launched Knights In Tight Spaces into the big bad world and let me tell ya, it takes a village!

The amount of support we've seen in socials, our discord and right here on Steam has truly energized the team and we've been gathering around the various bug reports and feedback you've been providing for us through all those channels.

The first order of the day is to address as many frustrating bugs as possible. Your player logs, save files and descriptive info has given us a big headstart on tackling these problems.

With that in mind here is the first wave of patch notes for Patch 1.0.1:

  • Fixed Three Strike Combo and it's upgraded version damage inconsistency
  • Fixed Warlock being able to block damage despite having "Cannot Block" status
  • Fixed Suplexing/Tackling enemy out of bounds not counting towards “Push enemy out of bounds” objective
  • Fixed softlock that was caused by Taunting Revenge Brawler’s Head Smash ability when they don’t have a target

Additionally, we've have also implemented the following improvements:
  • Ambassador in rescue mission given more health, also slightly reduced the possibility of unfair spawns
  • Fixed later Hostage rescue objective being incorrectly marked as Primary rather than secondary

This is but a mere fraction of what we're working on and we're doing our best to juggle bug fixes, quality of life improvements and speed of delivery without breaking anything.

I'll be heading back to the forums right now to keep reading and sorting through your various impressions and reports so I'll see you there!

Knights in Tight Spaces review

Fights in Tight Spaces was a turn-based John Wick deckbuilder. Sounds ridiculous, but amazingly, it worked. Each turn you had three ‘momentum’ which could be spent on cards that punched, kicked, and slammed heads into a nice variety of painful surfaces. You had to balance using your precious momentum to smack foes around or moving yourself into a safe position...
