It’s been an electrifying couple of months since the release of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and if you haven’t already tried embracing your warrior shaman, we have good news for you! The team at Surgent Studios has been hard at work creating an updated trial offering of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU in the brand-new playable demo out today on Steam, including all the quality-of-life improvements and fixes that have been added since the game launched earlier this year.



The demo will give you a peek into the early moments of ZAU, offering a taste of its fleet-footed and fast-paced combat and traversal and a first look at the emotional story as it begins to unfold. Defeat marauding enemies like the Roho ya Rungu and Roho ya Mtupaji, and beware of the cunning, explosive Tokoloshe.



Within the pre-defined demo area, eagle-eyed players will also discover hidden Echoes, which will lend a crucial hint to the full game’s narrative framing.

Your time in Kenzera begins as you, a young warrior-shaman, arrive in the sanctuary Patakatifu and call upon Kalunga, the God of Death, to strike up a very unusual bargain. As you begin the journey to fulfill your end of the deal, you will learn to wield two powerful masks imbued with the cosmic power of the sun and the moon in a beautiful and chaotic dance.



Players who wish to see more of the lands of Kenzera after completing the demo can carry on their progress into the full game when they purchase it.



Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is also Verified on Steam Deck, allowing players to roam the lands of Kenzera while on the go too!

And in that same spirit of making Tales of Kenzera: ZAU as accessible as possible to everyone, players can still get a copy of the full game with a 25% discount across multiple platforms!

Today we released the 1.1.1 hotfix for Tales of Kenzera™: ZAU, which aims to resolve two issues that some players have encountered and reported to us.

Hotfix Notes

• Resolved issue in which player could get soft locked during the second Great Spirit chase sequence.
  
• Resolved issue in which player could get soft locked behind the door leading to the Highland mines.
