Patch 1.2.0

Dear players!

The most important part of this update is Local Multiplayer. Folk Hero is just made for playing with friends. Checked, it's a lot of fun!

Be sure to write your impressions, we are interested in your opinion!

The mode is activated by pressing the corresponding button on the save slot.

In multiplayer mode, you can summon up to 2 additional players to go on a cooperative adventure. Use the summoning bell on the Beach to do so.

Achievements will only be completed by the first player, and all unlocked content during co-op will also be saved for single-player mode in that save slot, and vice versa.

In this mode, all playable classes are immediately unlocked, but you cannot go to the Island alone.

Changes

1. Added difficulty selection. You can only change the difficulty in the Main Menu or on the Beach.
2. Added Multiplayer mode
3. Increased explosion area of the Archer with the perk to increase the number of mines
4. Reduced the initial armor of the Defender's shield
5. Added Gamepad Stick Dead Zone to avoid accidental Stick triggers

Changes

1. Camera when aiming became smoother
2. Added sliders to customize the smoothness of the camera
3. The Medical dressing item heals less when moving between locations
4. The Sickle item regenerates ability cooldown slower
5. The Ladle item deals more damage to stunned people.
6. The Hero's Shield item grants invincibility for a shorter amount of time.
7. The Bast shoes item reduces stamina consumption more with a dash.
8. The Blood Ruby item increases damage more if you have less than half health left
9. The item Sword of Koschei deals more damage
10. Eye of Likho increases damage more to enemies with 2 or more effects.
11. The duration of the Rogues's Ulta increases less when upgraded
12. There are more elite enemies in the Castle Hallways
13. Increased the number of enemies when escaping from the castle

Fixes

1. Changing the control of some skills of Warrior and Defender did not work
2. Some UI windows were clipped on Steam Deck
3. Videos were not playing on Steam Deck
4. Some NPC texts were displayed off-screen
5. Bleeding+Curse continued to show damage numbers on an enemy, even after they died
6. It was impossible to pick up an item near an exit
7. Ability cooldowns could hang on the beach after switching between characters
8. After several kills of the last boss, the player could not move
9. Polkan's blessing changed every time you talked to him
10. Some achievements could be completed on Dummies
11. Ghosts in the castle could still get stuck after using Magic Powder
12. A white damage bar on the HP could appear when moving between locations.
13. Fixes in localizations
14. Incorrect character icons when selecting at the campfire
15. Unlocked items could be bought from merchants
16. Weapon display on players could sometimes be incorrect

Version 1.2.0-beta

Dear players!

We are pleased to inform you that we are launching an open Beta test of the Multiplayer! (Steam Remote Play works too)

You can enable Beta mode in the game properties on Steam.

Important information:

1. Saves from the release version will be used in the Beta test version.
2. Saves from the Beta version will NOT be used in the current release version.
3. Saves from the Beta version will probably fit the release version of the Multiplayer (when it will be released), but no promises.
4. In the Community Center created Topics for discussion and bugs in Multiplayer.
5. To enable Multiplayer mode, press Q (or X on the gamepad) on the save slot.

Artifacts provide the player with extra capabilities and assist in fending off opponents in tough battles. With their help, you can increase movement speed or enhance the damage inflicted on enemies in combat, or even make all the enemies around you fight each other 👀
