A bit on how Core Lords works 2# - Controlling Elemental Cores!
The Core Types
The “Cores” in Core Lords are concentrated elemental energy focused and controlled by you. There are 4 types of Cores: Stonecores, Windcores, Watercores and Flamecores.
Summoning and Selecting
Cores are summoned or controlled from the world.
Movement and Action Points
In the Action State (and Combat), cores can be moved with action points, both horizontally and vertically. Summoning will, in most cases, cost action points too. Cores can often be destroyed early to refund action points.
As long as you have action points, you can transform the world to your goals.
Unleash!
On leaving the Action State or ending a turn in combat, the Cores that are suspended by player control will trigger - dropping, falling, pushing, exploding - all sorts of things you can experiment with!

All sorts of interactions can happen, with the Cores being used to explore, solve puzzles, clear obstacles and battle enemies and bosses! (more detail on these in the next article)
Next up:
Cores Interaction!
Here we will go into more detail on the Cores and how the they interact with each other.
In the meantime, give the demo a go and give me some feedback if you can!
Cheers,
Chris
Summoning and Selecting
Cores are summoned or controlled from the world.
- Stonecores are specifically sized pieces of stone that can be selected and moved, dropped, pulled from the ground etc.
- Watercores and Flamecores and summoned from water and flame sources, such as rivers and lava pools.
- Windcores are easily accessed from environments with air to spin up.
