A paramilitary faction known as ENE Corp seizes territories across the world, decimating their defenses in little time. Only one threat to their dominion remains: the Oboro Clan, led by the legendary Joe Musashi. Aware of the danger they pose to his ambitions, Ruse, the mastermind behind ENE Corp, launches a full-scale assault on Oboro Village. Musashi and his allies must fight back and put an end to ENE Corp's reign of terror.

The protagonist. Head of the Oboro Clan, a tribe of ninjas that has protected peace from within the shadows for generations. Though he's a man of few words, his clan puts their utmost trust in him.


[h2]Lord Ruse[/h2]
The mastermind behind paramilitary organization ENE Corp. He commands his troops with callous tact and an iron fist. Fearing the might of the Oboro Clan, he sets in motion a plan to eliminate them once and for all.



[h3]Yamato[/h3]
Joe Musashi's canine companion. Yamato can grow larger to aid Joe in battle or carry him on his back.


[h3]Tomoe[/h3]
A spirited young member of the Oboro Clan who is fully devoted to Joe Musashi's tutelage. She dreams of becoming a ninja strong enough to shield the clan from any danger.



[h3]Naoko[/h3]
Joe Musashi's wife. Kind and mild-mannered as she is, she isn't afraid to offer Joe valuable advice and support from time to time.

The iconic SHINOBI returns in this all-new 2D action platformer with a unique hand-drawn look created by the team behind the hit brawler Streets of Rage 4.

Play as the legendary Shinobi Joe Musashi, master of the ninja arts and wielder of the Oborozuki, the great katana. After finding your village burned to the ground and your clan turned into stone, you must set off on a quest for vengeance, ready to face an unparalleled evil and avenge your clan.

Legendary action game Shinobi is back with its first new entry in 14 years

More than a decade since its last installment landed, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance revives the classic action games with a brand-new entry. After previously teasing it would be bringing back iconic names such as Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage, Sega has just revealed the long-awaited successor to the series of hack-and-slash platformers that first began back in 1987.
