[h2]I have some good news - Chapter 6 has been included in the game build today![/h2]


With around 21.900 words of new content, this takes the game over 133.000 words - my longest game so far. ːdazed_yetiː

The story continues, with only one more chapter left to go (which will have multiple endings.)

This update adds a few features and small fixes, to prepare for the upcoming Chapter 6!

[h2]You can expect the new chapter to be added in the following days![/h2]

[h3]v1.27 changes:[/h3]

• Added Steam achievements! Currently, the game includes achievements for finishing the existing chapters, finding two bad endings, and the achievements for maxing out different alignments, just like in the first Demonheart!
  
• Added an in-game achievements section, viewable from the main menu -> Extras.
  
• Implemented a way to delete save files, through the X button in the corner of each save slot.
  
• Added one new background - the interior of Leona's house.
  
• Fixed music in one scene.
  
• Changed the wording of some lines in Chapter 5.
  

As of this update, the game will track if you accused Leona while defending Kaisar in Chapter 4, so there will be a reference to it in Chapter 6, which is still in development. If you don't replay, it will be treated like you backed Kaisar but did not accuse Leona (it doesn't make a huge difference.)

Also, the wording in some lines near the end of Chapter 5 has changed, but the meaning hasn't.

Here's a quick progress announcement on Demonheart: The Cursed Trial, which is in early access.



I've finished the first version of the textual content for Chapter 6, and a new CG with Kaisar is also ready.

Some of the mysteries are finally going to be revealed in this chapter, with some remaining for the seventh, last one. There is going to be a big choice concerning Ran. Another choice will be about Kaisar, possibly only available if you have a certain type of relationship with him.

I was also replaying the Cursed Trial from the start and made changes to many lines, and also added a few special lines in case you named your protagonist Bright.

Next, I will start testing Chapter 6 to edit and polish the content and write any missing choices. The plan is to have it added to the game in mid- to late September.

In this update, I added a few lines for the Seer and Elos to make them acknowledge if you named your character Bright. (Like the protagonist from the first Demonheart - the Seer knew her personally, and the bard knows some tales about her.)
