We are close to the final release!!!

Hello, Captains of Fortune!

I'm finalizing the latest implementations for the last big news before the final release, namely the introduction of the Adventure mode (or Career, or Story, it doesn't have a specific name).
In this mode, the game will transform (roughly) into a sort of RPG, roguelike, "extraction shooter," top-down, bullet hell, shoot 'em up, "looter shooter," and others.
On the other hand, my games often blend multiple video game genres to be different from the crowd.

This big fat update should be out within a week.

A few weeks will follow, during which I will fix the bugs and try to implement the ideas you gradually propose to me.

If all goes well, MOTK:FB should be released from Early Access between May 14-24, 2024.

I still have several very nice ideas to add, but I'm waiting to fix the main bugs of version 1.0

I dedicated 1 year to this project, and I hope you enjoy it :)

News about Career Mode and future prices!

Hello, Captains of Fortune!

I'm near the end of development on Career Mode, but it will still take several days to be released.
Obviously, it will come out not without bugs and imbalances; in fact, it is one of the reasons why I preferred to release MOTK in Early Access. However, I am sure that with your help, I can optimize everything as best as possible!

To accommodate those who have not yet purchased MOTK, I would like to say that once the update containing the Career mode is released, the game will increase its value, and its cost will reach 9.99 dollars/euros.
After that, once out of Early Access, MOTK will take its definitive value, which should be at least 12.99 dollars/euros.

Career mode should give much more longevity to the title, in addition to the fact that the most potent weapons in the game will only be usable there, not in Quick Runs.

As you can see, those who chose to trust me by purchasing the game in its initial state received in exchange the purchase of the game at half the final price.
Many games now have their price at EA almost identical to the full release, but I don't find it fair.

If you have any ideas that you would like to see in the game, please write to me, and I will try to include them, commitments permitting.

Hoping to have done what you enjoyed, we will see each other again when the EA 4.0 update is released.

Update: Early Access 3.3!

Hi, Captains of Fortune!

I'm working hard to implement all the new features of Story mode.
Perhaps it would be more correct to talk about Career Mode instead of Story Mode.

However, I stopped for a moment to update the current version of the alpha and show you that the project is still alive and full of energy; the silence is only due to hard work and personal commitments.


CHANGES IN EARLY ACCESS 3.3:

- Thanks to your help, I corrected some translation errors!
Anyone of you who wants to help improve translations in your language is welcome!

- Fixed the bug where you could not remove weapons from the selected mercenary using the left click.

- Fixed a bug related to moving items in the inventory and improved the inventory system overall.

- It is now possible to move 3 different quantities of a particular object if it is a type of object that allows cumulative quantities, such as potions.
The new controls are these:
1) you will move the entire amount in the slot using only the mouse buttons.
2) You will move half the amount in the slot by pressing Left Shift + a mouse button.
3) You will only move one unit of that amount by pressing Left Alt + a mouse button.

- I changed the colors of skills greater than 0 in the mercenary skills panel, so they are better visible.



NEWS ABOUT CAREER MODE:

I'm developing all the parts of the camp, and obviously, now and then, I encounter some unexpected problems that make me waste more time, but that's normal.
From today I would like to start developing the resources on the map that the player can collect/loot during the battle, and then use them in the camp for crafting or for selling to various merchants.
The player should also be able to hunt animals on the map to collect meat and other resources.

Update: Early Access 3.2! MERCENARY CAMP!!!

This update is important on a symbolic level because it is the first update focused on Story Mode!
Obviously, you will only be able to play the new features relating to this mode when it is finished, but in the meantime, I would like to let you know about the progress, hoping to make your mouth water :D

[h3]NEWS ABOUT STORY MODE:[/h3]

As you may have already noticed, the new feature of this update is the mercenary camp!

This camp will be your headquarters.
Here you can:
- craft new equipment
- cook delicious food
- sell and buy items
- recruit new mercenaries
- manage your soldiers
- find new missions
- ... and sleep!

I will make sure that most of the objects inside the camp are interactable with the player, so as to give him the impression of actually being in a "real" environment.

If you have any questions or curiosities, I will be happy to answer them.
If you have ideas about it or would like to see certain features implemented, I will be even more happy to hear from you!

If I don't release new updates by December 25th (very likely), I wish you all a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart.
Use this time of year to put love and passion at the center of your life, in whatever form it may be. From experience, I guarantee that things will start to change.

Furthermore, I have wanted to tell you something for some time, and the Christmas atmosphere allows me to tell you more easily.
Most of those who buy my products are teenagers, a time in life that we all know is difficult.
We often have difficulty talking to parents or friends about an internal problem.
It is very important for me to let you know that if any of you are going through a difficult time (teenager or not), you can write to me privately or open a discussion on the Community Hub.
I'm not a doctor, but I've been through so many bad times that maybe my experience will help someone in the future.

Update: Early Access 3.1! NEW LANGUAGES!!!

Hi, Captains of Fortune!

These days, I've been working very intensely because I wanted to include more languages in MOTK... but I didn't think I'd have to translate so many words! :D

I have chosen the most spoken languages on Steam (except Italian because it is my native language), so don't be angry with me if yours is not present.
If the game is successful, I will gladly add other languages.

IMPORTANT: the translations (excluding English and Italian) were done using an automatic translator.
Consequently, the quality of these translations will be of a medium-low level, with some terms completely incorrect compared to the context in which they are found.

Consider these translations more like a gift from a friend of yours who, like you, has difficulty interacting in a language other than his native :D

- Fixed several typos in text throughout the game.

I apologize again for the quality of the translations; I hope to be able to improve them in the future.

Finally, from now on I will dedicate myself mainly to creating the Story mode!
