We have some exciting news to share!

Introducing our very first "Friend of Jimbo" collaboration! You can now personalise your decks with brand-new cosmetic card skins featuring fan-favourite characters from The Witcher 3, Dave the Diver, Vampire Survivors, and Among Us.

This update is completely FREE and available now on Steam and consoles. Add some visual flair to your game by swapping out the traditional face cards—Kings, Queens, and Jacks—with beloved characters like Geralt, Yennefer, and Jaskier from The Witcher!

This "Friends of Jimbo" surprise is the second of three major announcements about Balatro this summer. The first was the promise of a major content update in 2025, revealed earlier this month. Now, the real question is...what’s our final surprise?

Who loves crossovers? What about Balatro? If you're sticking your hand up right now, you'll be excited to hear about the Friends of Jimbo update coming to the card game. Not only is it out right now and free, it'll feature crossovers with The Witcher, Dave the Diver, Among Us, and Vampire Survivors.

Announced at the start of today's Nintendo Direct, this update will feature various game-themed cards for you to play around with. In the trailer, we see characters from each game show up on face cards, all of which are presented in the same pixel Baltaro art style. Some of these cards look pretty rad too, with special shout outs to the Vampire Survivors cards especially.

The first major announcement in this campaign is that there will be a major gameplay update coming to Balatro in 2025. This update will bring new ideas and strategies to the game and will be released across all platforms. And as a token of huge appreciation to the game’s brilliant and passionate community, the update will be completely free.

I would never have thought that Balatro would be played by over 2 million people when I started working on it almost 3 years ago. I’m so grateful to all the players for giving it a chance and I’m excited to show everyone the next chapter for my game.
