Community Challenge: Divide & Dissent

[p]Thank you everyone who participated in the Inclement Weather Challenge by submitting and voting on their favorites in the Dystopika Discord. This was a first glimpse into what the Mod Community has been up to, and we're exciting to continue allowing approved mods in this new challenge.[/p][p] This week's selected highlights were submissions by: rogler, Zell and ExileØnMainSt (with a tie for second!)[/p][p] [/p][h2]Community Challenge: Divide & Disset[/h2][p]The rich sit high and mighty above the slums below, hoarding the good life for themselves and looking down on those they deem beneath them. Walls rise, dividing communities and deepening inequality. But something stirs in the depths. This challenge explores themes of division and class contrast in dense urban landscapes. v1.5.2 Hotfix

A very minor update fixing some reported issues from the 1.5 release.

[h2]Minor Changes[/h2]
  • The Photo Mode Settings lock button has been moved to the right, away from the exit button
  • Increased the Max Height for Blimps
  • Increased probability of some rare Low Town buildings appearing when randomized
  • Sand material in Sandstorm weather has been adjusted
  • Removed noise track from game’s loading state.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where artifacts would appear in the fog when a high number of spot lights were placed.
  • Fixed a bug where Photo Mode categories would not re-appear after being hidden.
  • Fixed some problems where buildings could not moved on a custom landscape and would snap back to their original position
  • Fixed some scenarios where Image import might fail and crash the game
  • Fixed some extra lights in Jade building that could not be turned off
  • Fixed some misaligned textures on Blimp props
  • Fixed some light artifacts in Central BD ground tiles.

Dystopika, Cities Skylines' cyberpunk cousin, just dropped a huge new update

Gorgeous cyberpunk city-builder Dystopika just got a huge new update to celebrate its one year anniversary. Wanting to do "something special," developer Voids Within promises that it "really went to town on this one" - and go to town it did. The update (titled 'Meditations') adds two new districts, a megastructure, weather effects, volumetric lighting, lighting props, and an improved photo mode, to name just a few of the additions.
