After a year of declining revenue, the travel season is expected to bring a record-breaking surge in tourism. In response, the city’s largest corporations have come together to launch the Festival of Neon, a city-wide campaign turning the city center into an entertainment and shopping hub, featuring beautiful neon displays and signage that lights up the night sky.

Don’t miss the highlight of the festival, a parade of neon-lit floats crafted by the biggest names in tech, fashion, and media.

Introducing Mod Support (beta)

After testing our ModKit in the experimental branch for several weeks, we've now enabled Mods in Dystopika's public branch. We are ready to open the floodgates for custom districts, buildings, props, and holograms via Steam Workshop.

Release Notes v1.3.1
Mod Support (Beta)
Dystopika now supports custom content created with our ModKit. Mods can be distributed via Steam Workshop, or by placing any modification packages into the new Mods folder (see City Save Editor below).

Mod Support is still considered “Beta” and may have unexpected behaviors. We continue to track bugs and improve workflow for the Dystopika ModKit. Please stop by the #dys_modding channel in the Discord to get help or request features.

If you’d like to learn more about making mods for Dystopika, please visit http://modding.voidswithin.com. We are continuing to add documentation and tutorials.
City Save Editor
With Mod support, there is a new interface for creating cities that allows for enabling and selecting mods, as well as quick shortcuts to the Steam Workshop and Mods folder.

This same screen allows you to enable/edit mods for old cities, and to quickly access world seeds or rename cities without needing to Load the City.
Quality of Life
• A duplicate save button has been added to the Load City screen
 • An indicator has been added to indicate the currently open city on the Load City screen
 • Green “error blocks” will now appear in-game where content has failed to load, e.g. if a mod is missing.
 • Added an Intensity slider to Advanced Prop menu for Hologram emitters to control brightness
 • Added a “Legacy Screenshot Mode” toggle to use the old screenshot method at the expense of less accurate fog rendering.
Minor Changes
• Various visual improvements to the Load City screen
 • Loading up the game will now reload the last opened city (previously opened last SAVED city)
 • Experimental Mode notification now only displays in Pause Menu
 • Building previews now support multiple materials and meshes in preparation for mod support
 • Resolution scale setting is now maxed at 1.5.
 • Made some adjustments to Fog Quality at Ultra quality for better performance.
 • Increased the horizontal size of the District selection menu to accommodate longer names.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a bug where some buildings could not be height adjusted.
 • Fixed a bug where Props were being improperly positioned near the city border.
 • Fixed some visual elements not being included in unlock transitions.
 • Fixed some visual effects not triggered on some props and bridges.
 • Fixed a bug where widescreen resolution screenshots were being clamped to 4k.
 • Fixed a bug where Props unlock progress was not being cleared when resetting the player profile.
 • Fixed a bug where changing holograms on an emitter would change the wrong emitter.
 • Fixed a bug where "Angled Top" CBD building had a chance of breaking game input.
