Get ready for Sixties Week in Perfect Team! Starting this coming Monday, August 19th, all Perfect Team leagues will take place in the year 1969! That means the performance of games will resemble that of 1969, so set your strategies and look for your pitchers to last a bit longer than they do in the Modern Era.

Changes like this are a great way for teams to try something new, and give everyone a new challenge in league play. This is the first time we’ve changed the run environment in league play, and we’re looking to do it again several times over the course of the season - so let us know what you think!

To go along with the change, we will have other things to keep the theme going all week as we head into the Perfect Team Masters Series on Saturday, Aug. 24.



Not only will league play harken back to the day a black cat wandering around the on-deck circle at Shea Stadium, but there will be prizes at stake. The winner of Perfect League for that week will get a one-of-a-kind Perfect Tom Seaver card, while all 12 Diamond league champions will get a special Diamond-level Tom Seaver card. But don’t worry! If you don’t win these special cards in league play, they’ll be available in packs for everyone at a later date.

NOTE: DH will be on for all leagues, and there will be a minimum of one batter faced for RPs

Hello everyone! We have a major new update to Out of the Park Baseball 25, including the addition of a brand-new single player mode Drive for the Pennant!

Drive for the Pennant is meant to get you in and playing through the current MLB season. It gives you a focused view to manage your team - it delegates depth charts, bullpen depth, minor league management, etc... to your assistant GM, to keep you focused on the key parts of managing your team. Many displays are hidden or simplified in attempt to keep you focused on the main part of your mission.

For new players, it gives a quick and easy way to get into the game and to play through. For veteran players, it's a way to play through the current MLB season in a quick way, to experience all the thrills of the season without some of the complexities of the game. We think that it provides a new way to play that fans new and old should be able to enjoy.

The biggest difference to the regular mode of play is that as you play through the season, the game will jump you into the action as you go through the season. As you sim through, if your team is in a crucial situation, the game will pause and put you into the action to make the key decision, and then finish the game to see how it plays out. Do you stick with your starter or switch to the bullpen? Do you pinch hit late in a key spot? Can you hold on to that slim lead late? Can your team close out the shutout? You do not have to complete the games, but it lets you get in on some key decision points through the season as you navigate.
