We received tons of great feedback during our beta of Dying Light – Hellraid. Big thanks to everyone who participated! We’re hell-bent on applying your suggestions, so we will be launching the new game mode on August 13 for PC, and August 14 for consoles.

How about cracking open some zombie skulls with your fists? Get ready for Summer Madness, a zombie slaughtering extravaganza which brings back two popular game modes – HyperMode and Super-Crane – combined. Yes, you can enjoy superhuman punches and enhanced grappling hook at the same time!

Can you become an ultimate zombie slayer? Launch Dying Light and prove yourself by killing 200 zombies with your bare fists and throwing another 200 off buildings. If you’re looking to get something out of this (besides pure fun of obliterating the living dead with style, that is), rest assured you will. Completing each of the two personal challenges will earn you a docket for a gold-tier weapon. If the community manages to reach the global goal of 40 000 000 zombies killed with bare fists or sent falling to their deaths, every participant will be rewarded with three more gold weapon dockets.

The event is available until July 9th, 19:00 CEST.

Over five years after the release, Dying Light is getting an exciting DLC that’s bound to refresh your experience with the game. Get ready for an entirely new game mode based on our unreleased first-person dark fantasy slasher Hellraid. That’s right – dark fantasy!

You might wonder how we tied the DLC’s significantly different setting to Dying Light’s post-apocalyptic reality. The answer to that question is a strange device found in the Tower’s basement after an odd power outage. It looks like an arcade machine but in fact it’s a portal between worlds. Use it and you’ll emerge in a grim fortress overrun by Hell’s minions.

To keep the hellish setting consistent, we’ve populated the stronghold with completely new demonic enemies and designed an array of fitting fantasy weapons to slay them with. Hellraid comes with its own progression system and you’ll have to improve your rank to unlock new swords, hammers, and axes. These are more than just pieces of equipment – they’re trophies. Each run through the dungeon will reward you with coins that you can spend to proudly wield Hellraid weapons in Harran. Every time you revisit the fortress, you’ll have a choice to increase the prize by picking up bounties. Whether you choose to test your skills alone or in co-op (up to 4 people), you’ll face a considerable challenge.

Dying Light – Hellraid will be released on PC, PS4™ and Xbox One on July 23. If you pre-order it on Steam now, you’ll receive beta access for this weekend (June 26-29). Don’t miss the chance to be among the first to raid the demon-infested dungeon.

Over the next couple of days everything you do in Dying Light will be rewarded with a double amount of experience points. The bonus applies to all skill trees, including Legend. That means it’s a great opportunity to significantly bulk up your character regardless of whether you’re still in the midst of the story campaign or have already finished it.

Once again we’re shaking things up by giving you baseball and cricket bats with that HyperMode oomph you enjoy. It means one swing is enough to send an enemy flying like a rag doll. You’ll find plenty of random bats in airdrops, and completing your personal challenge will earn you a Gold Baseball Bat.

The real treat of the HyperMode Weapons event is the exclusive piece of gear - the Spectral Baseball Bat! Its ghastly glow changes color from pink in the daylight to blue in the darkness, but the best thing about this formidable weapon is that it retains its HyperMode kick after the event ends!
