Hello everyone!

Today the journey towards the full version of the game begins with the release of the Champion Shift Demo, and new gameplay trailer! Make sure to download it, take it for a spin, and join us in our Discord. At SRG Studios we are incredibly excited to welcome you all to our community, listen to your feedback and suggestions, and together make Champion Shift into something special.

[h3]Project Roadmap[/h3]
As we traverse the road to a 1.0 release, many milestones lay ahead, and we can’t wait to tackle them head on. To give you all a glimpse of what is to come, we are releasing our first version of Champion Shift’s roadmap, which will be updated as more content is added to the game.



Let’s break it down a bit. The first thing we have to mention is that Champion Shift will feature online CO-OP, and as action-roguelike players ourselves, we are really pumped about this. To get the game there, we are currently in the process of incorporating some pretty cool networking technology (more info soon!). This co-op feature will be included in our Champion Shift: Prologue build, which is slated for release in September 2023.

The Prologue will bring us closer to a more complete version of the game, with more features, unlocks, Champions, Celestial Gifts and stages! This is our main focus right now, and all your feedback in regards to the demo will greatly impact our assessment of the fun-factor of the game (Reminder: Join our Discord!).

The next stop on our journey will be our Early Access, starting in November 2023, followed by the full 1.0 release of the game in February 2024. The full game will have some pretty cool community features, that we will be talking about more in the upcoming months, but suffice to say that players will be able to compete in tournaments and leaderboards, with some surprising game modes thrown in. It is still in its early phases, but we are designing it to be a fun and worthwhile experience for our players.

Our decade’s long journey as a game development studio has brought us here, and we can’t wait to keep showing you the development process of Champion Shift, its characters, locations, story, and tons of abilities. We want to see the community wrecking the Dominion, cycling multiple times to the end boss, getting a billion upgrades and completely breaking the game.

Today, we turn our attention to the legendary hero Sun Wukong, and the powerful abilities bestowed upon our titular hero in Champion Shift. As an up close melee character, Wukong’s abilities are mainly focused on increasing the power of his staff, while others leverage his mischievous nature to unleash decoys on unsuspecting enemies. Let's dive into them:


Wukong's staff holds a secret. With each upgrade, the staff extends, granting him increased attack range and bolstering his weapon's damage. Engage enemies from farther away, and let your strikes resonate with the power of this ever-extending staff.



When shifted into Vehicle Mode, Wukong wields his staff with unmatched finesse. Unleash the Jingu Spin to witness a breathtaking spectacle as a 3 meter long, spinning staff attack is launched, striking at all enemies in its path. Let the whirlwind of the Monkey King's fury overwhelm your foes!



When shifting into Vehicle Mode, Wukong summons three nimbus cloud-riding clones that he launches forward into battle. These clones, infused with his essence, unleash devastating attacks, dealing 150% of his attack damage to all enemies in their path.



Prepare for a truly earth-shaking move! Wukong's Power Pole Slam triggers every third strike, causing him to slam his staff forward with tremendous force. Enemies unfortunate enough to be in its path face the wrath of a 200% attack damage blow.



The Monkey King's mischievous nature comes to the fore with this ability. When shifting out of Vehicle Mode, Wukong drops a barrel that explodes into three Wukong monkey clones. These clones dash out and engage enemies in battle, fighting alongside you for a glorious 10 seconds. Unleash this chaotic flurry and let the monkeys run amok!


As with all Champion Abilities, you can upgrade them multiple times during your run, increasing their power with each and every upgrade. But choose carefully, as Champion Ability upgrades are harder to come by, and can be a determining factor in your chances of victory.

During battle, you can capture the essence of enemies as XP, which grants you points towards your Celestial Gifts. Since their escape from the hands of the Dominion, our Champions powers have lessened, and these Gifts are the gateway to recapturing their mythical abilities. In every run, the Celestial Gifts you choose will drastically affect your odds of success, so choose wisely!

Shuten Doji's celestial gift allows you to summon his disembodied head to join you in the fight against the Dominion corporation. Picture a flaming visage, wreathed in malevolence, launching devastating fireballs at your enemies with unyielding fury. Let's explore the upgrades that enhance this mythical ally.

By forging a pact with Shuten Doji, you can increase his attack speed. With this upgrade, the fireballs he hurls become even deadlier, as they can trigger on hit effects. Watch your enemies burn and suffer the consequences of crossing paths with the Demon Lord!

[h3]Sake Bombs:[/h3]
Shuten Doji, known for his fondness for sake, bestows upon his fireballs an intoxicating infusion. As they grow larger and more volatile, they now explode on contact, dealing area-of-effect damage to surrounding foes. Witness the destructive power of these explosive projectiles!



[h3]Oni's Rage:[/h3]
With this empowering upgrade, Shuten Doji's wrath knows no bounds. He gains the ability to simultaneously launch a fireball at each enemy within range, leaving no target unscathed. Embrace the chaos and revel in the fiery spectacle as enemies fall before the Demon Lord's relentless assault.

[h3]Hellfire Elixir:[/h3]
In a wicked twist, Shuten Doji combines his demonic blood with his flames, concocting a hellish elixir of torment. Now, when his fireballs strike their mark, enemies are set ablaze.
