Champion Shift News

Greetings Champions! Today we release our 0.4.0 “Prologue” build, packed with lots of cool stuff! This new milestone brings with it the initial features of our progression system within the game, and more content for your Champions to survive.

Build Notes:
- New stage: Dominion Island Port Facility.
- 17 Achievements to tackle, each unlocking new powers and Champions.
- Play as Sun Wukong, Athena or Gilgamesh, as you fight the forces of the Dominion.
- New Tutorial stage, that follows Wukong’s escape from a Dominion lab, with hints at the overall story of the world.
- More Celestial Gifts, Hero Abilities and Vehicle Tech for you to unlock and master. The combos are starting to get crazy!
- Play online co-op with your friends and see your session stats in a new end-of-run screen, with stats, ability dps, achievements and more.

As we develop Champion Shift into the future, we’ll continue to update the progression system, content and gameplay, as we march towards our full release in Q1 2024. We’ll do a few updates during this week, as we find bugs and fixes to improve the game’s experience as much as possible, so keep an eye out for those. It’s taking shape! We hope you all find the game as exhilarating as we do, and please share your experiences and feedback on our Discord!

We are proud to announce the release date of Champion Shift: Prologue, available November 7th, 2023. This Free-to-Play chapter to the world of Champion Shift tracks Sun Wukong’s daring escape from the clutches of the evil Dominion, as he regains the celestial powers that will topple the evil corporation once and for all.

The Prologue has some expanded features in comparison to the current demo, more content, and just more awesomeness:

• Play as the legendary Sun Wukong through his escape from Dominion captivity
  
• Unlock two Champions: Athena and Gilgamesh!
  
• Three biomes to battle on: City, Desert Facility and Island Port!
  
• Achievements to track your progress
  
• Unlock new Celestial Gifts to power up your gameplay

Greetings Champions! In this celestial gift spotlight, we descend into the heart of Greek mythology and the legendary Labyrinth of the Minotaur. Embrace the raw might and unrelenting fury of this mythical beast to turn the tide against the Dominion and assert yourself on the battlefield!



With this celestial gift, enemies that are knocked back become living projectiles, dealing damage to any unfortunate foes they collide with. Picture the chaos as the Dominion forces are sent flying by your devastating strikes, turning their own ranks against them.



The Minotaur's rage knows no bounds. On each weapon hit, there's a chance to apply a delayed explosion to enemies. This explosive effect deals additional damage to nearby enemies when triggered. Watch as your enemies are caught in the fiery aftermath of your attacks, their ranks decimated by the power of your fury.



The Minotaur's strength is unparalleled, and with Bull Rush, you can tap into its primal frenzy. Should you manage to vanquish four enemies within a single second, the Minotaur's rage is unleashed. This frenzy greatly increases your movement and attack speed for a brief but glorious time.


Furthermore, acquiring one of each of these gifts bestows upon you additional knockback on weapon hits. Your every strike becomes a force to be reckoned with, sending your enemies sprawling and disrupting their formations.


Harness the power of the Labyrinth of the Minotaur, channel its fury, and become the unstoppable champion you were destined to be. With Minotaur Slam, Reverberating Blow, and Bull Rush, you will crash through the Dominion forces like an unstoppable tempest, leaving chaos and devastation in your wake.

Greetings Champion! Update 0.3.1 of our demo has dropped here on Steam. This release fixes issues and bugs as well as general improvements to the game’s user experience:

• A dash ability has been added, which can be activated by using RB on your controller (or right click w/ mouse). This will greatly improve your ability to dodge incoming firepower without needing to shift into car mode
  
• New gameplay UI improvements: moved the minimap to the upper right corner for better visibility and added a new Celestial Gift tracker, which lets you know at a glance your current build for better planning of your run
  
• New stage: Desert Facility (Night version)
  
• New Celestial Boons: Ymir’s Howl, Arctic Blast, Ice Shards, Celestial Orb, Deadly Orbit & Cosmic Energy
  
• General balance changes (this is a work in progress and will keep improving with time!)
  
• Tons and tons of bug fixes.
