Following the Japanese release of TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC, we are happy to announce that 4 additional languages have been confirmed for future release!

The supported languages are as follows:
・English
・Simplified Chinese
・Traditional Chinese
・Korean

More details related to when the full game will be available in these 4 languages will be shared in a future update, so please be sure to keep updated with TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC news!

Hello detectives,

As a new member of the Paranormal Detective Agency it will be essential to understand the tools you have here at HQ, so we’ve prepared a little refresher for you. Pay close attention as there’s quite a bit to cover… but once we’re done you’ll be able to handle even the most confounding of paranormal cases.

[h2]Analysis Mode[/h2]

You can read through evidence and other materials related to your case. When you enter Analysis Mode, an eye-shaped cursor will appear. You can use this to find words that may be related to the case. Tomona will talk to you when analyzing key words highlighted in red, providing you valuable information to progress your investigation.

[h2]Brightness Adjustment Tool[/h2]

Brightness of images and photos being analyzed can be adjusted for closer inspection of details. This may allow you to see pieces of evidence that were previously indiscernible.

[h2]Audio Tool/Audio Analysis[/h2]

You can use specialized equipment to analyze audio files saved on the PC and cassette tapes etc. that contain recorded audio. Detected sound and voices are divided into blocks, and individual frames are displayed as the audio plays. You can clip out blocks of audio waveforms that the AI detects and isolate it for further inspection.


In audio analysis, you can compare audio clips and sound waves that the AI detects.
When a target has been found on both displays, start the analysis function and determine how close of a match the two audios are.


[h2]Report[/h2]

Prepare a report summarizing your investigation of the case. Select screenshots, documents, or photos that support your answers and Tomona will give you an assessment of how accurate your answer and evidence are. When you have completed all the answers, you can submit your report.


[h2]Door [/h2]

You can use the door to go outside during investigations. The map will be displayed when you select the door, and you can choose a destination. The available destinations change with each case and update as your investigation progresses. There are over 11 locations that will appear in total, be sure to take a break and check the map now and then. Your interactions with characters may provide useful leads in your case.


[h2]BGM[/h2]

Listen to different background music tracks. Remember that it’s just as important to take time for yourself between all the investigations. Treat your ears to something soothing to help clear your mind… but don’t slack off too much!

We hope you’ll make the best use of all the tools at your disposal to progress in your cases. For now, we hope you’re looking forward to the official English release of TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC! Full Japanese release will be May 30th, 2024… but expect some news on the official English release soon! This should give you plenty of time to brush up on everything you’ve learned so far, rookie.

Hello, detectives!
In anticipation of the upcoming release of Tokyo Psychodemic, we’d like to introduce you to some of the mysterious and mind-bending cases you can expect. As a rookie member of the Paranormal Detective Agency, you’ll be opening up cases that have been left unsolved. Is murder afoot in Tokyo? Or could it be a case of paranormal activity…? It’s up to you and your team to uncover the truth.

[h2]CASE 3: Akasaka Spirited Away[/h2]
The next mysterious case is a case of being “spirited away” in which three important politicians, including the deputy prime minister and his secretary, disappear from an elevator of a 12-story hotel. The protagonist and his partner, Tomona Akiba, see a potential connection to the Yamanoi cult and set out to investigate the case.

This time around the stakes are high, as after 48 hours the missing person’s probability of survival decreases… What is the cause of the disappearance of a big-name politician? Is it really a case of being spirited away? Or is criminal activity at play?

To be spirited away means to suddenly disappear without a trace. It is a phenomenon that has been occurring in many parts of the world since ancient times. When a ship returns from a disaster and only a person is missing, or when a person suddenly disappears without a single witness.

And to get to the bottom of this case you’ll have to investigate the elevators of every floor… of a 12 story building!? It may sound daunting, but with guidance from Tomona you'll pick up on clues and leads soon enough.

Will the deputy prime minister be found safe and sound? Are there supernatural forces at work behind the incident? Everything depends on the player's deductions.

This case unlocks a new tool for deeper forensics: the “Audio Analysis” tool. This allows the player to isolate specific sound frequencies and hear sounds that were not heard before. Hear and extract the parts of the sound waveform that are of interest to you and have your fellow investigators examine them.


[h2]CASE 4: ? ? ? [/h2]

Following the sudden explosion of a plane outbound from Tokyo, the detective agency receives a mysterious usb with audio recording from within the cockpit of the plane.

The audio seems to point to this being a bombing, with an audio record of what seem to be Russian terrorists aboard the plane. Although the usb audio is in Russian, it’s no problem since the audio analysis tool is equipped with AI recognition of a multitude of languages.

That’s right, this case will fully utilize the newest feature added to your arsenal - the audio analysis tool

The usb not only has the main audio that has been officially assessed by investigators… but additional audio, too from a passenger on board.
Consult the Dark Web to receive an audio analysis and find leads in your case.

Your investigation will take some turns, and even take you outside of the office…
Take pictures, and gather evidence to analyze back at the headquarters.

In addition to the usual flow of the case, there will be several instances to choose from several options and see different outcomes for each choice. Don’t feel pressure as each option will simply provide additional information rather than change the outcome of the case itself.

This particular case is slightly longer than the others, and will take many sudden unexpected turns throughout as each clue leads to revealing an even deeper layer to the mystery, you’re sure to fall deep into this mystery as the direction is completely unexpected!
