Something colossal stirs in the frozen wastes of Arat Prime, a brutal echo of nature reshaped by Red Element.

Behold the [color]Ossidon[/color], a monstrous primate that has turned frozen alchemy into power and adapted to survive where even Titans falter, where even the Reseed Protocol can not reach. Once dismissed as a mutation gone wrong, this towering beast has become a living symbol of raw endurance and elemental might. Its dense fur shifts with the cold, its crest of bone and ice marking it as a creature forged in the harshest crucible imaginable.

The Ossidon is a force of frost and fury, ruled not by cunning but by an overwhelming will to dominate. Yet amid the chaos, a strange bond can form between beast and rider, a surge of shared affinity that turns survival into symbiosis. Some even whisper that the Ossidon’s form can shift with its attributes, its power informing the twisted frame which contains it.

The [color]Ossidon[/color] arrives [color]November 18th[/color] and will temporarily spawn within cold biomes on Ragnarok, Valguero, and The Center until Lost Colony's final drop in December. It is already included in the purchase of the [color]Lost Colony Expansion Pass[/color], allowing all pass holders to confront this elemental juggernaut from day one of its release.

Hey Survivors, after careful assessment, we've opted to begin the process of sunsetting a selection of our inactive official servers. Our goal is to ensure that we're always delivering the best experience possible, and official servers exist as a way for the community to play together without having to host their own. When we launch fresh content, typically, we put up more servers than we need in the long term to match the peak in user capacity; over time, these servers become ghost towns as players have dropped off and are waiting for the next major content release.

At the conclusion of the Bonus Rate Event on Monday, October 20th (around 1 PM Pacific), we’ll be opening transfers out of Isolated servers to the main network for items, characters, and creatures, as well as character transfers into Isolated for those who wish to move.

As part of this process, the servers will be renamed with the “SUNSET” prefix, following the same approach we’ve used in the past. Please note that once renamed, these servers will be removed from the in-game Favorites list, so you’ll need to search for them manually to reconnect.

Expire servers are temporary servers across the network that will eventually be removed, and you can find them by searching for "Expire" in the session filter.

These servers will be online until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on December 8th. We're preemptively using our allocation for future maps to host some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the newest content Gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto a new map temporarily.

Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on December 8th, so if you intend to use them, remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date, as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.



We’ve added a new Lost Character Form to support Survivors who’ve lost their characters on Official Servers. 

This process covers recent character losses on Official Servers. For Unofficial servers, please reach out to your server admin directly.

If you’ve lost a character, we recommend not transferring or altering items, as this increases the chances of a successful recovery. Characters will be restored on a case-by-case basis, depending on technical viability. If recovery is possible, your character will be returned to your Cross-ARK cloud data. We recommend checking your Download Survivor screen periodically for updates.



If you’re transferring or ascending to another server with an Armadoggo or Veilwyn in Companion Mode, be sure to exit Companion Mode first. Leaving it active may cause issues during the transfer.

Our next Community Creature submission will take place in the simulated biomes of Genesis Part 1! From the crushing depths of the ocean trenches and volcanic hellscapes to the desolate lunar surfaces and treacherous bogs, this unique map offers an unparalleled variety of habitats for your real-world prehistoric creature to call home.

We're inviting the community to submit their own creature designs, including their abilities, appearance, and how they fit in the game. We'll be considering all submissions, so don't hesitate to use references and Wikipedia links to support your proposal. It's time to let your imagination run wild and bring your favorite creatures to life in ARK!

  • If someone has already made a thread with your creature suggestion, feel free to upvote the thread and post your own ideas and thoughts into that existing thread

We're inviting the community to submit their own creature designs, including their abilities, appearance, and how they fit in the game. We'll be considering all submissions, so don't hesitate to use references and Wikipedia links to support your proposal. It's time to let your imagination run wild and bring your favorite creatures to life in ARK!

• One thread per creature
  • If someone has already made a thread with your creature suggestion, feel free to upvote the thread and post your own ideas and thoughts into that existing thread
• Must be a real-world extinct/prehistoric creature (dinosaurs, mammals, reptiles, etc)
  
• Developers are disqualified from posting their own ideas
  
• Supplemental information (wiki links, images, art) is preferred.

We’ve added a new Lost Character Form to support Survivors who’ve lost their characters on Official Servers. 

This process covers recent character losses on Official Servers. For Unofficial servers, please reach out to your server admin directly.

If you’ve lost a character, we recommend not transferring or altering items, as this increases the chances of a successful recovery. Characters will be restored on a case-by-case basis, depending on technical viability. If recovery is possible, your character will be returned to your Cross-ARK cloud data. We recommend checking your Download Survivor screen periodically for updates.



If you’re transferring or ascending to another server with an Armadoggo or Veilwyn in Companion Mode, be sure to exit Companion Mode first. Leaving it active may cause issues during the transfer.

While we won’t be able to host our usual 24-hour Extra Life livestream this year, we’re still going all-in on what matters most: uniting as a community to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and unlocking something special for the future of ARK: Survival Ascended.

For every $30,000 raised through the Studio Wildcard Extra Life charity campaign, the community will unlock a Dino TLC pass to be released throughout 2026, breathing new life into a classic creature of the ARK with updated gameplay and style. Up to four TLCs can be unlocked at the $120,000 milestone!

If you’re transferring or ascending to another server with an Armadoggo or Veilwyn in Companion Mode, be sure to exit Companion Mode first. Leaving it active may cause issues during the transfer.



Amazon is updating its certificate signing system, which will impact the Epic Online Services (EOS) SDK starting October 1. While this may not affect most players, Epic recommends ensuring your Windows system is fully up to date to avoid potential issues.

To help prevent any disruptions, Epic suggests the following steps (in order of ease):

• Update and run the Epic Games Launcher (if installed) — a new mitigation feature will be added in the coming weeks.
  
• Install the latest Windows Updates to ensure the required root certificate is present.
  
• Manually install the certificate by running this command in a Command Prompt window: https://account-public-service-prod03.ol.epicgames.com/account/
  

We’ll continue to monitor the situation and share more information as needed.


Our next Community Creature submission will take place in the simulated biomes of Genesis Part 1! From the crushing depths of the ocean trenches and volcanic hellscapes to the desolate lunar surfaces and treacherous bogs, this unique map offers an unparalleled variety of habitats for your real-world prehistoric creature to call home.

Start brainstorming your creature concepts and prepping those designs now, as submissions will open in the coming weeks. We’re excited to see how your creature adapts to the challenges of the simulation.

Please note that this creature will be released for Genesis Part 1, so make sure your real-world submissions are thematically suited to the map’s diverse environments. We’re always blown away by the creativity and passion the community brings to creature submissions and we can’t wait to see what wild things you’ll unleash this time around!
