We’re excited to share an update on Car Dealer Simulator as we continue to improve the game ahead of its release. Today, we want to talk about something you’ve often asked about—our car-driving mechanics.



[h3]Driving Mechanics Overview[/h3]

As a car dealer, you won’t just be managing your dealership; you’ll also get behind the wheel to test-drive the cars yourself. To make sure this aspect of the game feels right, we’ve integrated the Chaos Vehicles System from Unreal Engine 5. This system brings a solid and responsive driving experience, ensuring that every car you test-drive feels distinct.

[h3]Key Features[/h3]

Here are some of the highlights of what we’ve been working on:

Physics-Based Driving: The Chaos Vehicles System allows for more realistic vehicle physics. While it’s not a hardcore simulation, you’ll notice the weight and handling of each car as you drive. It’s balanced to be accessible and authentic, giving you a good sense of how each vehicle performs.

Responsive Handling: We’ve worked hard to make the driving controls responsive and intuitive. The handling should feel natural and satisfying, whether you’re taking a leisurely drive or pushing a car to see what it can do.

Different Experience for Different Cars: Many of you wanted to know if there will be multiple car models and types. Of course! More than that, we are doing our best to make the driving experience of each car model a bit different.




[h3]What’s yet to be done?[/h3]

Here are some of the things from our current TODO list:

Visual and Feedback Improvements: Our HUD is not final yet, so we are working on developing the right one – simple yet useful. We would also like to add visual touches that enhance the driving experience, like suspension movement and tire reactions. These details are subtle but help make the driver feel more grounded.

Customizable Controls: We know players have different preferences, so we’ve included options to adjust the driving controls to your liking. You can tweak the settings to find a balance that feels right.

As we approach release, we focus on refining these mechanics further. Our goal is to deliver a driving experience that complements the business management side of the game without overwhelming it. We want testing cars to be fun and an integral part of running your dealership.

Let us show you around our first in-game garage. This small space may not look like much, but we are confident you will turn it into a fully working car repair station in no time.



This first garage will be located in one of three cities available in the game and will serve as your base of operations until you grow your car dealership empire. Bear in mind that this is still not the final look, but we wanted to show you the progress.



We're also thrilled to share an exclusive sneak peek into the early development stages of Car Dealer Simulator's upcoming game mechanics. Today, we're showcasing two exciting prototypes: car washing and repairing car parts.

In these in-engine captured short videos, you'll witness our team's approach to immerse you in the details of running a successful car dealership. Please note that these mechanics are still in their infancy, so don't mind the lack of proper textures and polish - we're focusing on functionality first!

Ever dreamed of running your own car wash within your dealership? Now you can! Watch as we demonstrate the basics of the car washing mechanic, from selecting the right tools to washing away grime and dirt (currently represented as colours) to reveal that shiny exterior.



What we aim for

You'll have the option to wash the car with just water, which will lightly improve its appearance. Or, you can add appropriate cleaning products for a more thorough cleaning to achieve optimal cleanliness. Additionally, applying wax will not only make the car clean but also give it a shiny finish, adding to its appeal.

[h2]Part repairing[/h2]

In Car Dealer Simulator, attention to detail is key, and that includes making sure every part of your vehicles is in top-notch condition. Check out our early prototype showcasing the process of repairing car parts. From identifying damaged components to using the right tools for the job, get ready to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on with vehicle maintenance.



What we aim for

In the final game, you can look forward to a nuanced mechanic that distinguishes the functionality of different screws. While all screws can be tightened, there are subtle differences; some screws may offer resistance, requiring a bit more manual effort with the wrench.
