We’ve just released another batch of fixes, and below we’re also revealing a new surprise.

[h3]Patch notes:[/h3]

• Fixed a bug where the inventory wouldn’t close with the ESC key
  
• Selected sorting method in the inventory now overrides the default setting and is saved until it’s changed again
  
• Improved refresh of the keybinds table – changes are now visible instantly without reopening the settings window

In today’s devlog, we want to share what we’re working on. The update is planned for release in a few days.

So far, car repair parts could be bought in the parts store, and fuses at the gas station.

In the next update, we plan to add an online shop with deliveries directly to your garage.



Today we’re only revealing the app on the computer, but in upcoming devlogs we will show more details.

In today’s devlog, we want to tell you a little more about Little Sam’s family.

Yes, we know this guy can be a bit annoying at the beginning of the game. He’s never around when you need him, always off “handling something,” though no one really knows what that is - or if it’s even true 😊. He may seem like he’s got a lot on his plate, but who knows if he’s really that busy or just pretending? Luckily, he’s just your introduction to the game - and if you make enough money, you’ll be able to buy the Car Dealer from him! 😊

But it turns out Little Sam isn’t a lone wolf. He’s got a family that’s also involved in the automotive world.



In Car Rental Simulator, you’ll meet his son, Lazy Luke.

His nickname didn’t come out of nowhere. He’s not exactly the hardworking type - just like his dad 😊 - except that Little Sam at least had a knack for picking good partners.

Lazy Luke is kind of a mess. He’s a slacker with no real business sense. He’d much rather spend money than earn it. Sure, Little Sam gave him a few cars to get his rental business started, but without your help, he doesn’t stand a chance.

Now, completely different is Little Sam’s wife and Lazy Luke’s mother - Clever Emma.

Clever Emma is all about cleanliness and order. After finishing her role as a stay-at-home mom, she decided to start her own business - Car Cleaner. Now that she’s a bit older and more tired, she’ll need your help too.

• Fixed traffic behavior - vehicles will no longer collide with the tow truck
  
• Enhanced sounds of the car transporter when reversing
  
• Added the option to assign a custom key to toggle the UI

• Improved the way vehicles are initialized on the scene, which should make the performance drop during vehicle loading (e.g. scheduling appointments, spawning vehicles in the junkyard) less noticeable. On lower-end hardware, the game may still experience a brief freeze when loading junkyard vehicles - we’ll continue working on optimizing this process.
  
• Fixed an issue where an employee could continue working without being paid.
  
• Fixed a bug related to employee sounds.
  
• Removed the ability to roll back mileage of a tow truck.
  
• Potentially fixed an issue with incorrect vehicle pricing display in the junkyard.
  
• Fixed incorrect sounds in the tutorial app.
  
• Minor fixes to level design and roadside models.

[h2]Hi Car Dealers![/h2]

In today’s patch, we’re introducing a new feature - the Wreck Event!

Once you reach reputation level 3, every 3 days there’s a chance you’ll receive an email about an abandoned wreck somewhere in the world. After receiving the email, a pin will appear on your mini-map marking the wreck’s location. To keep things challenging, there won’t be any markers in the world or on the main map. The email will also include a hint to help you find it.



When you find the wreck, just get inside to claim it as yours. Then you can load it onto a tow truck or tow dolly and either restore it in your workshop to sell to customers or dismantle it for parts and scrap the body at the junkyard.
