Assemble and Disassemble Modes in the Workshop

After parking your car in the garage, interact with the hood to access the technical view of the vehicle.

Switch to dismount, focus on a part - the elements that need to be unscrewed will be highlighted in green to help you dig deeper:

Switch to mount, click on the ghosted part – a popup will open with your inventory, allowing you to choose the part you want to install:

Mechanical Repairs and How They Affect Value and Reputation

Only 9 days left until the release of Car Dealer Simulator - the countdown to May 29, 2025 is on!

Today’s devlog kicks off a short series focused on mechanical repairs. Think of it as a mini guidebook to help you understand how to handle them effectively in the game.

Most cars in Car Dealer Simulator are purchased through the classifieds portal. Vehicles come in various conditions, and you can already check key info like visual state and whether the car starts or not directly in the listing.

But to get a detailed technical overview, you’ll need to use the diagnostic scanner.

Once used, the scanner will show you a full report on the condition of every part in the vehicle.

🔧 Pro tip: If you’re out shopping and forget what needed fixing - don’t worry. Just pull out the scanner from the radial menu and press ‘R’ to open the last saved report. Even better, the report updates automatically after every part replacement, so you’re always working with the latest info.

Every repair you make directly affects the market value of the vehicle - the more you fix, the more profit you can earn. And that’s not just about cash.

💼 Your dealer reputation depends on how much profit you make from each sale – the higher the difference between the purchase and sale price, the more reputation points you’ll gain. So smart repairs and good deals really pay off.

Car Wash Progression - From First Wash to Full Service

Only 14 days left until release! On May 29, 2025, the full version of Car Dealer Simulator will be available on Steam - don’t forget to add the game to your wishlist to get a notification on launch day!

In today’s devlog, we’re continuing our series about company upgrades. During the prologue and the demo, you had the chance to try out the level 2 car wash and see the new features it introduces.
At level 1, you get access to a basic pressure washer that lets you clean the car with foam.

At level 2, you unlock waxing and polishing, which significantly boosts the car’s appeal and the price you can ask for it.

Level 3 unlocks an additional workstation and the ability to hire an employee. Just drive the car into the area and assign a task - they’ll take care of the rest for you.

That’s it for the car wash upgrades - all three levels will be available in the full version of the game!

Employees at Workstations How Do They Work and What Can They Do?

In today’s devlog, we’re continuing our series about room upgrades. One of the final upgrade levels for the workshop, car wash, and body shop introduces a big feature: the ability to hire an employee. The hiring process is handled through an app on your in-game computer – just open it and choose the person you want to hire.

Once hired, the employee must be assigned to a workstation.
Important! - each employee has an hourly wage, and you’ll be charged for each hour they’re assigned to a workstation. The payment is settled once per day - as a single daily wage visible at the end of the day. Employees are not locked into specific roles, so you can freely reassign them between workstations as needed.

So how do you make an employee do some work?
It’s simple - just park a car in the area next to the employee’s workstation and interact with them.

In the car wash and body shop, things are straightforward - the employee will automatically perform all the necessary tasks.
In the workshop, however, you’ll need to specify exactly what you want done. A dialog window will show all the parts installed in the car - you can instruct the employee to remove them to your warehouse or replace them with another part from your inventory.

Once confirmed, the employee will begin their work sequence, and a progress bar above their head will show you how long the task will take.
