There will be a new update 1.3.x 1-2 weeks. I couldn't implement all of them in the previous update, it was a lot of work. If you are missing any options, please let us know on the forum or in comments. Thank You for feedback, videos, opinions etc.

A new version is available (v1.2.2). I added updates to LAST HOPE, you can choose the difficulty level (but only from the menu). Also, I've been balancing LAST HOPE a bit, but one more update will be needed.

1. In the LAST HOPE mode, a difficulty level has been added, leaderboards have been created, a bag has been added (you can still discard items, but it will be easier to keep them in the bag because it's easier to find), and other changes such as the boss appearing later. In the next update, more features will be added to LAST HOPE mode, along with balancing. Note that you can only change the difficulty level in the menu before starting the game.
   
2. Verification for Steam Deck has been added (currently, button icons for Steam Deck hints are not displayed, only text, so the verification icon is yellow, not green; it's recommended to check the demo).
   
3. New sounds have been added upon player request, for example, for items that are thrown, like a chair.
   
4. A new option to disable the "Letterbox" (black bars at the top and bottom) has been added.
   
5. 95 languages have been updated (options, menus, interface, etc.).
   
6. Optimization for low-end devices.
   
7. Fixes for hints (Japanese, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, etc.).
   
8. Cosmetic improvements for the ending.
   
9. Fixes for the LAST HOPE mode (fixing list navigation buttons, bugs, code optimization, etc.).
   
10. Steam achievements fixes (e.g., Play LAST HOPE).
    
11. Fixes for EMMA.
    
12. Bug fixes, for example, a wall preventing some players from completing the game (after returning to the normal Apartment with red fog).

I wanted to say that soon there will be a new update 1.2.2 in Friday (08.09.23 ) or Saturday (09.09.23). The new update will fix bugs/glitches, LAST HOPE balance (+ option to choose the difficulty level, there will be 3 scoreboards EASY/MEDIUM/NIGHTMARE), skipping cutscenes (in this or in the next 1.3.x update), localization fixes etc., soon more details. A new version is available (v1.1.1). The most important change is the difficulty level, the default is EASY, it is more like exploration mode, combat is simple. You can change the game level in the menu at any time (EASY -> MEDIUM -> NIGHTMARE).

- Added version to the main menu.
- Added "Difficulty Level" option. Default gameplay is set to EASY, even if loading a save game from before the update. The player can change the difficulty level at any point during the game.

1. EASY - If someone prefers to explore more than fight, this mode is ideal. Enemies are weak (axe 2-3 hits + increased range, pistol 2 shots, shotgun 1 shot - if fired up close), drop items more frequently). Player moves and runs faster, even when injured, the bosses are easy to defeat.
   
2. MEDIUM - Slightly more challenging, there might be fewer items, fights aren't hard, but they're not easy either. The Player moves slightly faster normally and when injured.
   
3. NIGHTMARE - Unchanged, few items are available, survival is near impossible (unless you played Quake 2 in 1999), real boss fight.

- Added "Show always HP" option (health will always be visible).
- Enemies now drop items more frequently (except for Nightmare mode).
- Localization improvements for all languages (95). E.g., game-saving messages ("Saving...") etc.
- Graphic improvements (textures, some 3D models).
- Performance optimizations.
- Fixes to prevent players from getting stuck in certain areas.
- Gamepad adjustments.
- Fixes for certain options.
- AI and enemy adjustments.
- Fixes for bosses (hanging torture cage, bug with doors).
- Music fixes (boss etc.).
- Minor tweaks to the intro.
- Fixes for certain in-game objects
- Voice-over fixes for various languages (Polish, English, French, Chinese, etc.).
- Lighting/lamp fixes in certain places, e.g., room with wind blowing.
- Blood is more visible.

The demo of Apartment 1406 is now available. You can download the demo of Apartment 1406. It is possible that the demo will receive 1-2 updates when I update with the full version. To download the demo you need to go to the game's product page and click the "Download demo" button. If the demo is not yet visible on the main page wait 15-30 minutes (Steam cache). The demo is available for Linux 64 bits, Mac 64 bits and Windows 32 and 64 bits.
