While Horizon Forbidden West demands one of the best graphics cards if you want 4K gameplay, running a smooth 60fps at 1080p or 1440p is much easier. Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition 1.0.43.0 Release Notes

Hey everyone,

Today's update for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on PC includes crash fixes, various bug fixes, and improvements based on player feedback.

Since the launch of the game last week, we've been closely monitoring our crash reporting system and investigating crashes submitted through our support channel. This patch includes several crash fixes and changes to further improve stability.

We've also fixed several bugs, including one that prevented players from claiming rewards at the Hunting Grounds when using mouse and keyboard controls. This patch also fixes the HDR Max Luminance slider and enables DLSS 3 Frame Generation during cutscenes. Check out the release notes below for more details.

The teams at Nixxes and Guerrilla continue to closely monitor player feedback. We are aware of other issues raised by the community and are actively working on future patches with further bug fixes and optimizations.

  • Various crash fixes and stability improvements.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented players from claiming rewards at the Hunting Grounds when using the mouse.
  • The HDR Max Luminance slider is now functioning correctly.
  • The game is now able to save when the Documents folder is rerouted to the root of a drive instead of a folder.
  • DLSS 3 Frame Generation is now active in cutscenes and while UI screens such as the weapon wheel are displayed.
  • Photo Mode now shows the correct ‘Hide UI’ button prompt when using a controller.
  • Fixed a bug that could result in multiple Quest categories being highlighted at the same time.
  • Resolved a bug that caused a mouse cursor offset on the map on resolutions other than 1920x1080 pixels.
