All Backpack Battles recipes list

What are the best Backpack Battles recipes? This overview of all Backpack Battles recipes will help you find the best item combinations. In strategy game Backpack Battles, you can link certain items together to create a more powerful item. The only problem? The game won't reveal the recipes until you've crafted the item. As combined items are usually stronger than default items, you can use this Backpack Battles list of all recipes to find every combination and improve your chances of winning. We've also included a Backpack Battles tier list for every item obtained through recipes, so you'll know which ones are the best.

Combining items in Backpack Battles is quite simple. If two items in your possession are compatible, you'll see a blue glowing line when hovering over them. To combine these two items, place them next to each other in your backpack, which will spark an orange glowing line. Win a battle while the connected items remain in place, and the Backpack Battle recipe is complete. As soon as you return to the preparation phase of the roguelike game, you'll find the new item in your backpack.

New indie game sells 100,000 copies in one day, already rated 10/10

Joyful new indie game makes Diablo's worst bit fun, out now on Steam

Steam's latest big hit is a little game about stuffing a huge backpack full of magic items

I've been wondering when a game might finally tear me away from last month's indie Steam hit, poker roguelike Balatro. Turns out it's Backpack Battles, a PvP-ish (I'll explain that in a second) autobattler about playing inventory tetris with a bunch of magic items. It arrived in early access on March 8, and within two days it sold over 100,000 copies, according to its developer, Furcifer...

Hotfixes & Help with Technical Issues
Hi everyone,
Backpack Battles has been out for 4 days now! We've been busy fixing bugs and have already pushed some hotfix patches. You can view the recent patch notes ingame by clicking the version number on the bottom right. We also post them on our Discord server.

We wanted to address some common technical issues and frequently asked questions.
Steam Deck Issues
For some reason we don't know, Steam doesn't launch the correct build on Steam Deck, and the game instantly crashes when you try to start it up. The workaround to get it to launch is by enabling and disabling Compatibility.

In your library click on Backpack Battles, click the cog button on the right, open Properties, Compatibility, check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool", uncheck again, close properties. It should start normally from that point onward.
Controller support
The game has controller support, and with the 0.9.0f patch, you can reconfigure gamepad inputs in the options. It should display icons that match the controller you're using. Please give feedback, and let us know if you encounter issues, so we can add "Full controller support" to the store page.
Game does not start
This seems to be an issue with missing dependencies on some systems that we are trying to figure out. In many cases, verifying the game files fixes it. We also checked some settings in the backend to hopefully fix this issue.
Family Sharing does not work
We do not know what causes this, and we have contacted Steam support several days ago but haven't got a response yet.
Update: Steam support fixed it!
We're doing our best to make the game accessible to all of you, thank you for helping us with bug reports etc.! We're also planning a balance patch soon.

Thanks for playing, have fun!

New indie game sells 100,000 copies in one day, already rated 10/10

It's not the fault of Diablo 4, Last Epoch, or Path of Exile. Some tropes, no matter how fussy or fiddly, die hard, and for decades now the classic RPG game has been built around - for better or worse - a big, tricky inventory system. Skyrim has one. Fallout has one. Hotkeys help, but with so many crafting and customization options, it takes a long time to find precisely the doohickey you need. Taking this tentpole of the RPG genre as its inspiration, one new indie game has exploded on Steam. With 100,000 copies sold in a single day, tens of thousands of players, and a 10/10 user rating already, now's the time to check out one of 2024's true surprise hits.
