FULL RELEASE!! Backpack Battles Patch 1.0 is Here
Hi everyone! šŸŽ‰

Backpack Battles is coming out of early access today!!
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
🌟 Mage & Adventurer are here! ✨
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]You can play them right now! But before that, let's take a look back at the history of Backpack Battles...[/p][p][/p]
How it started...
[p][/p][p]I can’t believe it’s finally time to write this post.[/p][p]It really has been a crazy ride from the very first demo until here.[/p][p]I know some of you have been with us from the very start, back when there were like two recipes in the game.[/p][p][/p][p]We had a 9-month-long phase where we worked on the demo, adding content every week and just checking out how y’all reacted to it, and what it did to the game.[/p][p][/p][p]This is an unconventional way of making games.[/p][p]Almost everything in Backpack Battles was developed entirely in the open, most of the time there was less than a week between us having an idea and actually adding it to the game.[/p][p][/p][p]You know, we did plan to do this as a small side project - it becoming a years long project instead of a few months long is entirely because of your continued interest in this game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
...and what it became
[p][/p][p]Most of the features we now can’t imagine the game without were the results of coming up with a crazy idea, putting it in, seeing how you guys react, often doing a poll, and then reevaluating where to go from here.[/p][p][/p][p]These are just some things we only came up with along the way:[/p][p]Moving bags, subclasses, unique treasures, class badges, alternative loadouts, the build history, the item library, skills, lobbies and so many more. And there are many more things we could and would like to add.[/p][p][/p][p]We went from a game where the lategame could only be Bloodthorne or Lightsabers (because those were the only lategame weapons in the game at the time), to a game where I still have things happen in my runs that I have never had before. [/p][p][/p][p]It really wasn’t inevitable to have all those things. But I’m so glad we did not end at 50 items and 2 classes. We added classes #3 and #4 (Berserker and Pyromancer) with the start of the early access.[/p][p][/p][p]Now you can finally play classes #5 and #6 (Mage and Adventurer). We added 161 items during the demo phase, 183 during the early access, and another 95 now.[/p][p]In total, there are now 439 items in the game. That’s a lot of stuff, it really became more than we ever imagined it would be. But of course, there are tons of things we want to add in the future.[/p][p][/p][p]We hope you enjoy the Mage and the Adventurer, and all the other small things we put in Backpack Battles for your amusement.[/p][p][/p]
Have fun and thank you!
Thanks for staying with us, or for checking us out. For recommending our game or for streaming it. For leaving a nice review, or reporting bugs. And just for enjoying the game. Without you, the game would have been very different.
[p][/p][p]We also want to thank our partners at IndieArk, who have supported us since the early demo days and brought this game to so many players all around the world. Also, our thanks go out to our playtesters - we wouldn’t have been able to do this without you.[/p][p][/p][p]I’m sure you will hear from us soon, with the usual fixes and adjustments.[/p][p][/p][p]- Doro and Mario ā¤[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Tiny Pasture X Backpack Battles: New Bundle!
[p][/p][p]We just launched a bundle with a super cute game: Tiny Pasture! It's a cozy simulation game that sits at the bottom of your desktop where you build a farm with critters.[/p][p][/p][p]You can even bring a Rainbow Goobert into your little farm now! Isn't it adorable?[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Check out the bundle:[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]Here’s the changelog for you (I'm not listing all the items, you will have to check them out ingame): [/p]

šŸŽ’ Backpack Battles 1.0 is Coming June 13th!! šŸŽ’
Hi everyone - Big news today!
We have been working away behind the scenes and can’t wait to show you what we have been doing:
Here’s the trailer!
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Backpack Battles will finally hit version 1.0 on June 13th, with 2 whole new characters as well as items for the 4 existing classes.
We will leave some surprises open for when you can actually play it, but here are some details:
The two new classes are the Mage and the Adventurer.

The Mage is a bit more complex than the previous classes, with a focus on interesting patterns and buff management.

If you feel like even more puzzling you can choose the Puzzlebox, to place tetrimino-shaped bags. They have a ton of cool Mage-y stuff like wands, spell scrolls, spell books etc, but you best discover them for yourself ;)
The Adventurer is themed around variety and variance. Her main loadout, the Bag of Giving, works a bit like a combination of Rainbow Badge and Present: It lets you access other classes’ items and generate them randomly. It’s pretty wild, and we hope you will love it as much as we do!

There is of course a more tame alternative with her other loadout, which focuses more on tying neutral items together with Twine.

They both will have a full set of items from the start with 5 subclasses, class-specific skills, and a nice set of class items.

There will also be a lot of quality-of-life improvements and polish, but you will see those for yourself soon!
And there is another thing to celebrate: We have hit 1,000,000 sold copies of Backpack Battles. It’s still so hard to comprehend so many of you are playing our game, thanks y’all! ā¤
