Bye Sweet Carole is now releasing in 2025

Dear rabbits,

It's been quite some time since we last shared an update on development with you, and today we are excited to share some of the game's newest improvements for the first time.

We've been working hard to deliver a beautiful and emotional game, but as anyone who has made a game before knows, it's no easy task. This is why we've made the tough decision to move Bye Sweet Carole's release to 2025. This will give us the proper time to continue improving the quality of the gameplay and art that made you fall in love with the project in the first place.

Speaking of the improvements that we've made to Bye Sweet Carole, here are a few examples of changes to the ENTIRE game.
Lighting Effects
We received some feedback on our game being too dark. We agree, it was! We listened and added more lighting effects to give every scene the clarity it deserves to show off the gorgeous art...
User Interface
In our last update we shared a newer version of the UI, but we weren't done iterating. We did extensive research to determine the best UI for the game because you'll be able to control and transform several characters, so the UI needed to work for each one. During this time, we also took our time to revamp the entire menu system as well as the game's HUD. Please note that this may not be final, but it's much closer to what we would like! Please, have a look on our Steam page where all the 4K screenshots have been updated to reflect more examples of the new UI and all other mentioned effects. We're really proud of what we achieved.
Cutscene Rework
We are spending more time to rework every animation frame from every cutscene (and there are quite many, trust us!) to align the work of our wonderful 2D artists and present a cohesive art style for the project.

Please, note that the GIFs here are exported in lower resolution, but the whole game is in 4K natively!
Gameplay Reworks
We've reworked much of the gameplay to give you a tense feeling while playing. We want your senses heightened like they would with any great horror game or movie. Whether that's when you are holding Lana's breath, hiding or battling it out with Mr. Kyn and other enemies that you may encountered during your journey...

Once more, thank you all for your continued support of Bye Sweet Carole. We're working on a new gameplay video to share in the near future, so follow us on Steam or our socials to be kept updated on that as well as other game developments. And if you haven't, please Wishlist Bye Sweet Carole! It helps a ton. ♥

Cheers,
LSM and ME

For Easter, we'd love to introduce you to some bunnies!

Happy Easter! 🐇🐰
Some Bunnies, Some News, and More Bunnies!
We had to take this opportunity to post Lana's transformation to celebrate!

First of all, we have improved the game's UI! The new UI will provide better visibility on your health bar, indicate which form of Lana you are in, and allow you to give orders to Mr. Baesie when he's around.

But we also wanted to share with you some Rottens, curious creatures covered with tar. those creatures are the result of Mr. Kyn's corruption in Corolla.

These are only one of the different kinds of Rottens, so better be careful.

To conclude this brief update, here are some bunnies that you might have already encountered on our social media channels! We encourage you to follow us to ensure you don't miss any new screenshots.

We're unveiling the mystery around Carole Simmons for the Holiday Season!

It's that time of the year!

On this occasion, Bye Sweet Carole has partnered with talented artist Tasia MS to showcase Carole in a special way, to celebrate the Christmas season, and to wish every player a wonderful end of the year!
The new Holiday Artwork is the perfect opportunity to let players make their best wishes before the tar turns the world of Corolla dark again.

Get ready to meet Lana, Mr.Baesie, Mr.Kyn, and the rottens rabbits in Bye Sweet Carole next year…
Who is Carole?
Carole is one of the most important characters in the game. She is Lana’s best friend. They both lived in the Bunny Hall. However, one day, Carole just left Bunny Hall. Although everyone thinks that she left the orphanage, Lana suspects there was something more behind... Lana will do everything she can to find her, but it won't be easy. Throughout her investigation to find Carole, Lana will encounter many enemies and meets a few allies to support her.

Here are three screenshots on top to see Carole in the game:

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to showing you more of Bye Sweet Carole next year!

Bye Sweet Carole introduces the rotten rabbits and a new keyart by Omri Koresh!

It's time to Scream!

Welcome to our first official blog post! It's been a while since Gamescom and our Gameplay reveal! *

Bye Sweet Carole is part of Steam Screamfest 2023!

On this occasion, Bye Sweet Carole has partnered with artist Omri Koresh (known for his work on American McGee’s Alice: Asylum) to create a chilling artwork.

Here is a version without logo if you want to use it as a wallpaper! :)
We also added it into Wallpaper Engine in case you're using it!
The rottens rabbits
We wanted to start introducing to players the different characters that are part of Bye Sweet Carole's story. Halloween is full of terrifying creatures.
The rottens are black rabbits made of tar. The origins of these creatures are unknown, but they are closely related to Mr. Kyn. In fact, by opening portals, he can summon them.

Look at our gentle Mr.Baesie fighting against the Rotten while Lana is finding the way to escape this dismal well...
It's Halloween after all!
It's the spookiest season of the year, and it's the best time to watch your favorite horror movies or play your favorite horror games? What is your favorite horror game?
