Who Did It? - The Christmas Challenge 2024

Hello Detectives!

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone!

To celebrate the first Who Did It? Christmas. I'm thrilled to introduce: "The Christmas Challenge 2024"!

Here is how this challenge is going to work:

    Play Who Did It?
Complete at least 5 cases during the event on the "Hard" difficulty or higher. The gamemode does not matter.
Get a special limited edition Christmas 2024 ID-Card!

Note: You need to complete 5 cases during the event. Your previous case progression/completion does not matter.

This challenge is available to complete between 16-12-2024 and 02-01-2025. After that the Christmas event goes away and then the possibility to get this special ID card is gone!

Today, a smaller update to fix some issues from the 1.3 update.

Included in this update:

  • Updated the help book contents to better match the current game content.

Who Did It? Update 1.3 "The Rank and Role Update" Out Now!

Hello Detectives!

It has been a really long time since the last update. But this update will completely change the game for good! You can watch the video trailer for the big highlights or read the full patch notes below.
Level & ID Card System
Introducing a full level and ID-Card system. There are about 9 ID Cards to collect at this moment, but more will come later.

How does this work?
Each case you close earns you XP depending on your selected game mode, difficulty and performance. When you have enough XP, you will automatically get a higher tier ID-Card!

You can change your currently selected ID Card via the settings menu.

New XP Summary
To show how you got your XP, a new XP Summary screen has been implemented at the end of a case.

Special Insane Challenge Rewards
When you complete the Insane Challenge you will unlock a special ID Card design, and you will receive a big XP bonus of 400 XP (per case completed)

New achievements
There are 3 new "level" related achievements to collect. You get the new achievements by reaching level 30, 50 and 100. 100 Is currently the max level!

Case High scores
Improve your own high scores with the new high scores system. Each case you complete earns you XP, and that XP is also your score. So, by doing a better job on the case or playing at a higher difficulty allows you to improve your high score!

Better Genders
The dropdown when selecting a suspect has been improved and now has a subtle blue or pink background to show if the suspect is a man or woman. This is to resolve some confusing clues regarding genders.
New Case Briefing
The difficulty and game mode selection screens have been completely overhauled and are now combined into one easy to use screen.

There was a lot of feedback regarding not being able to change your selection after choosing and the overall confusing UI, so it got completely reworked!

Hint: You can read a small teaser on the new briefing screen regarding the next update!
Main Menu Sidebar
The Main Menu has had a makeover. There is now a new sidebar with your ID Card and level, The current update patch notes and a better placed feedback button.
