Alpha playtest 7 is upon us.

Ladies, Gentlemen and folks from all around, we’re very excited to announce our 7th Alpha playtest, where we invite you to check out the many changes and improvements we have tirelessly worked on in The World of Nifty Craft since Alpha 6.

This playtests is a general playtest so focus on everything from hitting play and registering your new account to abilities balance or their UI readability. If a comment appears in your mind while playing, we’d love to hear it.

- Catching and Reporting bugs allows you to enter our Monthly competition to seize the title of Bug Hunter of the Month, winning The Certificate, Bug Hunter otm role, and future rewards and privileges we’re still brewing in the shadows.
- The latest Champion was NEUK with 30+ reported bugs.
- This time though, the winner will be determined not only by the amount of bugs reported, but by quality of reports as well. So we will take into account quality of report, a new bug?, how many people experienced the issue by counting reactions.... etc
- All your suggestions matter, as you can see in our latest live stream where we replied and discussed your suggestions, so give us all you've got!

[h2]How To Join?[/h2]
  • If you haven’t already, head to our Steam Store page and click on “Request Access”
  • Once the playtest starts we’ll send out emails notifying you that the game is added to your game library.
  • Head to your library and install the game “The World of Nifty Craft Playtest”
  • Start the FUN.

Just like the previous playtests, we would like the New Nifties to focus on everything from hitting play and registering your new account to abilities balance or their UI readability. If a comment appears in your mind while playing, we’d love to hear it.

For veteran playtesters, there are always improvements that are mostly happening with numbers behind the curtains, this time though, in addition to the hidden magic, you can see a major change with your own eyes 👀, The UI overhaul awaits your comments: please check the UI update notes in our Discord server to know what to look for, and please let us know what you think about it.

Dev Update #18

Hello everyone, and Happy Valentine's Day! In today's update, we're focusing on significant improvements to the user interface (UI) of The World of Nifty Craft. While we're still fine-tuning the details, I'm excited to share our progress towards a more intuitive and visually appealing design.

[h2]UI New Look:[/h2]
We've updated the look for all UIs including key sections like Inventory, Leaderboard, and Mastery. These changes aim to enhance navigation and readability.







[h2]Deck UI Overhaul:[/h2]
  • Slot Unlock Progress: We've made the slot unlock progress and requirements more transparent, helping you understand exactly what's needed to access new slots.



  • Abilities Organization: We've streamlined the Deck UI to display only Slottable Abilities, moving others to a new "Collection" tab. This should simplify the process of managing your Abilities.

  • New Tooltips: Hovering over Abilities now displays a tooltip with key information.



  • Ability Details: Clicking on an Ability now opens a detailed view that sticks around, providing information about the Ability and compatible Gear, matching this with the previous tooltip allows for quick comparisons and strategic planning.



  • Crafting Insights: When crafting Gear, you'll now find detailed information about compatible Abilities and whether an Ability is already in your Deck or equipped, facilitating better crafting choices.

Weekly Dev Update #17

While our team is currently busy with leveling up TWoNC's UI, they've been going at bugs like mad exterminators in the past couple of months with exceptional results, we went down from 120 to 40 reported bugs 🔥
Some of them you might have seen resolved during the January playtest, some of them were resolved afterwards.

[h2]Fixes:[/h2]
  • Crafting progress freezes and follows the character if a recipe is clicked immediately after crafting.
  • Random lag spikes when gathering cotton.
  • PVP loot not dropping.
  • Corpses not showing after PVP.
  • Newly created guilds not appearing in search results.
  • Hotkeys remain active while using the Bug Reporting UI.
  • Typo: "Mighties Warriors" > "Mightiest Warriors"
  • Some hitboxes are smaller than their actual images.
  • Some missions are completed with the wrong action.
  • Game freezes when two non-slottable runes are fused.
  • "Journey Home" not working in the first zone (logic issue).
  • Rune slot incorrectly displayed in resource description UI.
  • Incorrect coin distribution in NPC loot.
  • Inability to select Doggy Dog, the first NPC encountered in the game.
  • Some equipment cannot be crafted despite having the requisite mastery level.
  • Necessity to log out and then back in to see UI changes after joining a guild.



[h2]New stuff:[/h2]
  • Added a more pronounced danger feeling when health is below 20% (screen borders reddening, danger music).
  • Refined Battle Tutorial to improve combat learning experience.
  • Various improvements in the UI and Town for a better user interface and engagement.

🌟 Dev Update #16 🔨

Hey Nifties! After a brief hiatus, we're back with a bug-squashing update and over 50 bug fixes, all thanks to our fantastic community and amazing Playtesters! Here’s the buzz:

[h2]🐾 Mobs:[/h2]
  • Balanced Mob difficulty for a fairer fight.
  • Mobs now have unique behaviors and abilities. Expect the unexpected!


[h2]🛠️ Questing:[/h2]
  • Repaired some broken missions. Smooth sailing ahead!

[h2]🔮 Rune System Changes:[/h2]
  • Tweaked Starting Rune collection for a better kick-off.
  • Runes can now be fused directly from the equiped deck.
  • Bag removed from Rune UI for a cleaner look.
  • Selected Runes now display compatible gear slots.
  • Extra Rune slots unlocked with more Overall Mastery levels.

[h2]🎮 Functional Fixes:[/h2]
  • Monsters' hitboxes adjusted.
  • Chatbox resize won't affect character movement.
  • Fuse runes even when your bag is full. No more inventory headaches!
  • Target lock-on now has a deselect option. Right-click away to change your mind!
  • ESC key to unselect cards.
  • Fixed crashing and error issues for smoother gameplay.


[h2]👀 Aesthetic and UX Enhancements:[/h2]
  • Characters can blink now!
  • Improved animations during gathering and others.
  • UI tweaks for mission clarity and no more overlaps.
  • Fixed typos for a polished read.
  • Equip/unequip shortcuts for gear and moving Vault items between inventory and Vault.
  • Slower dialogues for a comfortable reading pace.
