Welcome to 64-Bit SFXEngine v2.04

SFXEngine v2.04 is now live.

Something of a major update today, SFXEngine now works in 64-bit.

-Full conversion to 64-bit. This means a 10-20% speed increase and access to full memory footprint, permitting much larger projects.
-New V02 file format for projects and programs. V00 and V01 format files will import seamlessly. There are slight technical differences between formats due to improved timing accuracy with each subsequent format. As with every format change, files saved here won't load in older versions of SFXEngine.
-All engines recompiled in 64-bit and V02 format.
-Modulator maximum size increased to match the virtually unlimited maximum sample size.
-More preparations for multi-language support.

New SFXEngine Sound Pack

A new Sound Pack for SFXEngine is out today. The Footsteps Sound Pack contains 75 footstep sounds on different surfaces: hard floors, grass, snow, plus monster steps, robotic steps, and several environments for different occasions. Supplied in SFXEngine project format. Easy use and modify, with lots of samples and modulators that are free to use and re-use. Far more flexible than a mere sample library.

Welcome to SFXEngine v2.03

A small update to SFXEngine today before the launch of the Footsteps Sound Pack to come in a few hours! A few small changes here:
-A fix to text entry. Pressing Escape on a text box used to trigger the press to Quit Program, it won't now.
-An important repair to the Sine Wave, Sine Wave Adv, Triangle Wave, Triangle Wave Adv, Pulse Wave, Pulse Wave Adv engines, which accidentally had limits of -24/+24 rather than -48/+48. Now the GreenBlade preset hums correctly with its intended powerful glory!
-Updates to program text, enabling future multi-language support.

Welcome to SFXEngine v2.02

A small update to SFXEngine today. The changes update the background code to help with future 64-bit support, the app is 32-bit at the moment. No new features have been added and everything should work as before.

There is a new SoundPackReadme.txt for Sound Pack owners. The next SFXEngine release will be the Footsteps Sound Pack on 26th March.
