⚡ Lost Castle 2: Power Up! New Roadmap Revealed! ⚡

Dear Hunters,

We’re excited to share the Phase 3 update roadmap for Lost Castle 2! This update will introduce a spooky-new weapon type, improvements to online multiplayer, and a chill new dungeon filled with ice-cold foes and frozen delights!


🔹March Update
  • New Weapon Type - Phantom Lantern: The first batch of 20 Phantom Lantern weapons and 1 weapon inscription will be added, offering a fresh combat experience!
  • Multiplayer Improvements: Enhancing the online co-op experience for smoother gameplay with friends!
  • Treasure Adjustments: Adjusting certain treasure effects to optimize in-game progression and enhance strategic depth!

🔹 April Update
  • New Stage: Frozen Cave ❄️: A frightful and frigid new area to explore!
    2 brand-new bosses to put an end to your ice-capades! Expand your arsenal and improve your tactics with:
    • 8 shiny new weapons
    • 2 new treasures to hunt
    • Maximimize your drip with 2 new sets of armor
  • Phantom Lantern Expansion: 10 more Phantom Lantern weapons, bringing the total to 30, along with 1 additional weapon inscription

AND in even more exciting news! Lost Castle 2 is now part of the Steam Couch Co-op Fest! The event runs from February 10 to February 17 at 10 AM (PT). Grab your friends, team up, and dive into some epic co-op fun!

The development team will continue to monitor player feedback, optimize and adjust the gameplay experience to keep treasure hunters around the world happy and hunting!

Treasure hunters, a new patch has arrived! ⚔️
This update brings balance adjustments, optimizations, and crucial bug fixes to keep your adventure smooth and ruthless.

[h3]Additions[/h3]
  • 1.A giant scarecrow has been added to the camp.


[h3]⚙️ Adjustments[/h3]
  • Hacking Blade (Two-Handed Weapon): Increased attack range and raised damage multiplier from 240% → 265%.
  • Cannon Warrior (Turbo Lance Inscription): Increased invincibility frames after a successful block from 37 → 50 frames.
  • Burst Shot (Bow Jump Special Action): Now targets the ground position of enemies, even when they are airborne.
  • Aerial Dodging Optimization: Smoother transitions when dodging mid-air and landing.

[h3]🐛 Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where Whirlwind Slash (Two-Handed Weapon) could not drag enemies properly.
  • Fixed incorrect injury health values from the Ironbone Brute inscription.
  • Resolved an issue preventing Weapon Strap (Hunter Gear) from switching weapons while moving with the Turbo Lance.
  • Fixed a skill activation issue when using Star Steel Sword if Starry Shield broke mid-animation.
  • Fixed aiming issues for Burst Shot (Bow Jump Special Action) when locking onto Destroyer Demon Lord's hands.
  • Corrected improper armor deductions on Blood Knight’s Armor.
  • Fixed abnormal triggers for counterfeit items "Core of Life" and "Mana Goblet" under Nightmare effects.
  • Resolved an exploit allowing infinite kicks on Demon Carrion.
  • Fixed out-of-range attack detection for Crystal Devourer at Nightmare Depth 3.
  • Resolved a bug where Steward the Demon Sealer regained damage reduction after being frozen.
  • Fixed Chaos Treasure and Cursed Treasure being selectable multiple times.
  • Corrected value display errors after discarding Soul Crystals and Iron Ingots.
  • Fixed a bug in Ethereal Nightmare where selecting "Weak Constitution" unintentionally increased injury health loss from attack healing.

1. Fixed the issue where players could pick up multiple items from Chaos Treasure under certain conditions.
2. Fixed the issue where items from Chaos Treasure would abnormally appear in the scene.
3. Fixed the issue where characters hit by the Scissor Throw skill of Boss "Mad Gardener" would be unable to move if the Boss was defeated during this hit state.

🆕 Additions:
  • 1️⃣ Soulstone Smelting: A brand-new feature for soulstone customization.
  • 2️⃣ Nightmare Depth Adjustment: Hosts in online multiplayer can now initiate adjustments to the Nightmare Depth.
  • 3️⃣ New Year's Festival Skins: Festive and stylish cosmetics to celebrate the season in style!


⚙️ Adjustments:
  • Slightly adjusted the timing and performance of Goblin Thugs entering rage.
  • Adjusted the AI behavior of Boss "The Last Guardian," reducing the suction strength of "The Last Guardian" under Nightmare Corruption.
  • Reduced the number of Nightmare-corrupted elite monsters under Nightmare difficulty.
  • Adjusted the nightmare effect "Weak Constitution" to have values of 10%, 20%, and 30%.
  • Increased the minimum quality of soulstones dropped by Bosses "Wandering Knight" and "Steward the Demon Sealer" in Nightmare Depth 3.
  • Adjusted the resonance "Thermal Feedback" of the turbo lance inscription "Cannon Fighter": duration increased from 5 to 10 seconds, and the total pressure gained increased from 300 to 600.
  • Adjusted the inscription "Fearless Warrior" for single-handed weapons: Fearless Charge will no longer automatically trigger a heavy strike when hitting scene objects.
  • Adjusted the base and resonance mechanisms of the dual-blades inscription "Blade Dancer".


✨ Optimizations:
  • Improved the description for the camp upgrade "Ethereal Rune Research".
  • Enhanced input mechanics for the turbo lance inscription "Volcano Warrior" when using dodge actions.
  • Further refined input operation for two-handed weapons with the inscription "Furious Warrior".


🐛 Fixes:
  • Resolved an issue where Boss "The Alchemist Eugene" would summon excessive minions.
  • Fixed a bug causing Goblin Thugs to incorrectly enter rage continuously.
  • Fixed the issue where discarding soul crystals would also trigger the effect of "Spirit in a Pot".
  • Corrected an interaction issue between the treasures "Crimson Heart of Agitation" and "Devouring Fang".
  • Fixed a bug where continuing the game could reduce alchemy elixir.
  • Addressed an issue where item auto-decomposition might fail during map transitions in multiplayer games.
  • Fixed a multiplayer bug where escaping caused players to get stuck on the settlement screen.

[h3]Adjustments[/h3]
1.Increased the wind-up time for the Boss Treasure Anglerfish's spinning attack; reduced the suction force of the Treasure Anglerfish's sandblast attack, increased the wind-up time for the sandblast, and added attack prompts.
2.Adjusted the AI behavior of the Boss Behemoth.
3.Adjusted the AI behavior of the Boss The Last Guardian.
4.Enhanced the visual effects of the Demon Soldier's mana-draining attack in Nightmare Corruption.
5.Reduced the frequency of the Giant Lizard Assassin's retreat step, and removed invincibility during the retreat.
6.Decreased the burrowing distance of the Desert Wurm by 25%, and it will now actively burrow to seek out distant players.
7.Reduced the number of poison projectiles from the Desert Wurm's attack for non-Nightmare corrupted variants.
8.Reduced the frequency of the Giant Lizard Burner's backward leap.
9.Increased the number of Soul Flowers gifted by Nia.
10.Adjusted the Soul Flower drop rule in Ethereal Nightmare 3: Defeating Boss "Wandering Knight" now drops 1 Level 2 Soul Flower, and defeating Boss "Butler of the Sealed Demon" drops 1 Level 2 Soul Flower.
11.Fixed the issue with the Soulstone "Elixir Shield"(The effect's name has been corrected from "Potion Shield.") not working, and adjusted its value from 1% to 2.5%.
12.Adjusted the skill of the dual-blades "Frost Blades" to allow continuous release by holding the button in the air.
13.Increased the speed of consecutive skill releases for the single-handed weapon "Eternal Frost."
14.Adjusted the treasure "Icebound Wand": Damage reduced from 20 to 15, and freeze value increased. Now, the shield is granted whenever any monster within the freeze aura is frozen.
15.Reduced the frequency at which “Goblin Thugs” enter their rage state.

1.Improved the attack transition when equipping the two-handed weapon with the "Berserker" inscription.
2.Optimized the motion trajectory of the dodging while jumping with various weapons.

7.Fixed the issue where the hunter gear "Weapon Strap" could not cast sub-weapon's skill.
8.Fixed the issue where the staff's aerial dodging was not affected by the dodge cooldown.
9.Fixed the issue where the Nightmare effect "Life Lock" caused some treasure effects to malfunction.
10.Fixed the issue where the "Laser Gun" mod for muskets could not trigger the inscription "Lucky Hunter."
11.Fixed the issue where the staff inscription "Ethereal Mage" was not affected by dodge distance.
12.Fixed the missing English text for the weapon "Frostbite Blades."
13.Fixed the loss of some VFX.

1.Attempted to fix the abnormal lag when the mana and life energy spheres drop.
2.Attempted to fix the abnormal lag when first entering the camp, but the loading time when entering the game might be a bit longer.
3.Attempted to fix the issue where the treasure "Pulsating Tree Knot" and Soulstone effect "Mutual Aid"(The effect's name has been corrected from "Friend.") were not working.
