[Community Update] Small fixes and improvements

Hello everyone,
here is the changelog.

- Fixed turrets being unpowered if a single turret lost it's rail docker
- AI scan whenever it can
- AI use interdiction addon in combat

Small Update with fixes for modlauncher

Greetings Citizens,

this is a small update, that fixes some issues with mods as well as balane:

- Fixed customBlockConfig being ignored when mods are enabled
- Fixed weapons dealing 1/3rd of their intended damage
- Added notification dialog when joining a server that has mods enabled

We're also getting the bug tracker back up, and will likely make a fresh start to clean up and to not overwhelm newcomers.

StarMade 0.203.101

Greetings citizens,

as announced this is a minor update by the community, already using the opened codebase.

It fixes a few bugs, as well adds a mod-loader.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed AI leading beam shots
  • Fixed the "Require authentication" being enabled by default, making people unable to log into single player without uplink.
  • Made factory progress bars not factoring in the Factory Bake Time chamber
  • New UI for the blueprint manager
  • Effects and defenses now use a more straightforward formula, where the defense rating subtracts a percentage of incoming damage in the corresponding offensive effect type
  • Fixed an issue where all defense ratings were multiplied by zero. Defensive effects (such as armor chambers and innate defenses from the BlockBehaviorConfig) are now functional.


There is also an addition of an in-development mod loader. Note that there may be some bugs, please report these to the StarLoader discord

Joining modded servers will automatically download the mods needed to join. Servers may still experience a few bugs, however, but hopefully not many.

The modding API is a work in progress and subject to change, but many of the core systems are in place. Check the StarLoader discord for tutorials.

The code is currently open on an invite-based system until we made sure that everything is in order. If you like to contribute, please feel free to send me (schema) a PM in the StarMade discord.

Fixed Launcher Login

A SSL cache issue has caused the launcher to think that the certificate is expired.
The update should fix that.

There will be an actual game update and more news within the next few days.

The summery of that:

  • StarMade will go Open Source for the community. (since I can't work on it until I have enough money to not have to work on other projects for a while)
  • Community mod launcher
  • Balance updates and bugfixes


Sorry for the long wait without update. I'm still alive and want to finish the game, but I'll leave the source for the community for now.
