Sup folks!

Today we announced that Dunk Dunk is the latest game joining the Playtonic Friends publishing lineup, and with that, we're ALSO announcing that Yooka & Laylee will be jumping, feinting and DUNKING as part of the character roster in the game!

While Dunk Dunk is a chaotic basketball game, it features elements that the platformer enjoyer should... enjoy! Yooka & Laylee just made sense.

Hello folks!

I sat down with Ed, Nikita and Steve to talk all things art on Yooka-Replaylee! We talk about how they're improving the environments, characters and more for the remaster.

Hey folks,

As the Yooka-Replaylee dev team crack on with polishing all those textures up to 4K and Kev moves all those pesky Quills around, I come with an update I think at least one person will be happy to hear!

We are happy to confirm that there WILL be a discount on Yooka-Replaylee for owners of the original game!

We'll go into detail closer to release but for now, start thinking about what you're gonna spend that extra money on! Maybe a celebratory launch kebab (a Steve favourite), some new socks, or perhaps a nice little treat for the pet in your life?

For clarity, this currently only applies to Steam right now as we're yet to announce console support but we'll keep you posted once we have console news!

Yooka-Replaylee is shaping up to be the best game ever definitive way to play and experience the very first of Yooka and Laylee's adventures and we want to recognise and thank all of our original Kickstarter backers and all the folks who supported us by buying Yooka-Laylee in the first place. So thank you! We're putting a lot of love into Yooka-Replaylee and we can't wait for you to see what we've been up to!

We’ve taken on board all the community feedback as well as channelling everything we’ve learned while working on other projects to make this the definitive version of Yooka-Laylee. Why now?

Well, we’re approaching our 10th Birthday as a studio and as we’ve grown and learned, we’ve always wanted to revisit the game that started it all and what better way to celebrate reaching 10 years?! That’s no easy feat in the current games landscape! We’re incredibly proud of Yooka-Laylee and how it defines Playtonic but we’d be lying if we said we haven’t always wanted to go back and do things a little differently.

What else are you guys working on?

As part of the Yooka-Replaylee announcement, we’ve alluded to the fact that we’ve taken learnings from our other projects. A lot of our founding team come from an era where games are ready when they’re ready, not tied to arbitrary deadlines. We have some cool things cooking up behind the scenes that we’ll show when they’re ready to show! Yook-an rest assured that this isn’t “it”!

Will original owners get a discount?

Yes! So far we've confirmed that anyone who owns the game on Steam will get a discount! Since we've announced the game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series consoles and... Nintendo platforms... we're also pleased to say we're working with platforms to ensure we can provide discounts to as many folks as possible across these platforms. We'll have more details, including the discount % as soon as we possibly can!

When can we expect Yooka-Replaylee?

We’re still in development and we still have fun features to add and talk about so we’re not ready to share a release date just yet!
