Regarding the Test
Q: What is a CLOSED BETA, and what is its purpose?
A: The CLOSED BETA is an early access trial for a select group of players, featuring only a portion of the full game's content. The primary goal during this phase is for the Mecha BREAK team to collect feedback from players on gameplay, online experience, and other insights that could help enhance the game. This feedback will assist in testing the overall server stability and online infrastructure to better prepare Mecha BREAK for a larger player base in the future.
Q: When is the CLOSED BETA, and how long will it last?
A: The test is scheduled to run for four days. As the test progresses, additional gameplay elements will be rolled out. We encourage players to start participating as soon as they download the game to fully experience the content prepared by the Mecha BREAK team.
Start times for each region are as follows:
• Asia-Pacific: April 26 - April 29, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM SGT
• North America: April 26 - April 29, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM CDT
Q: Why is the CLOSED BETA only available on PC?
A: The Mecha BREAK team values the gaming experience of all our players. The decision to use PC as the platform for the CLOSED BETA is based on the current stage of development and resource allocation. PCs offer flexibility and convenience, which are crucial for rapid iteration and game adjustments during the early testing stages. This setup allows the Mecha BREAK team to efficiently gather feedback, optimize the game promptly, and ensure quality and stability when expanding to other platforms in the future. We are fully aware of the anticipation from console players and are actively working to ensure that the game will deliver a stellar experience on consoles as well. In future testing phases, we expect to include more platforms, allowing players on various devices to experience the game's appeal as soon as possible.
Q: Will the test only support keyboard and mouse? What about controllers?
A: A: The Mecha BREAK team understands that many testers would prefer the option to use controllers. We're happy to share that this test now includes support for both PS5 and Xbox controllers. Please note, however, that controller support is still being perfected and isn't fully optimized yet. We're actively working on improvements. We look forward to hearing about your experiences using controllers during the test. Your feedback is essential for us to fine-tune the functionality and enhance the overall quality of the game. If you run into any issues or have suggestions while using a controller, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Mecha BREAK team.
Q: Can I discuss, record, and publish my own gameplay content?
A: Qualified individuals for the CLOSED BETA must adhere to a strict confidentiality agreement. According to this agreement, unless specifically authorized, participants are not permitted to disclose or share any test-related information in any form (including but not limited to, text, screenshots, videos, live streaming, unpacking, etc.). Violations of this agreement may lead to consequences including, but not limited to, muting or suspension, revocation of current or future qualifications, and rights reserved to pursue claims for reputation and financial losses. To ensure information security, test qualifications cannot be transferred or used for any commercial purposes. All discussions by testers who have obtained test qualifications should take place in dedicated Discord channels, the details of which will be notified separately.
