Here’s What Will Be Ready for the Big Update (1 Day Left)

[p]Hello MiLords and MiLadies.[/p][p]Only one day left until the big update. Today I wanted to share a clear and simple list of what we managed to finish for this release. Some things are still on the way and will arrive in the next patch, but tomorrow’s update will already be a packed and solid build. And yes, all of this will launch together with a 40 percent discount during the festival.[/p][p]Here are the features that will be fully ready tomorrow:[/p]

A Fresh Look at One of the New Stories (2 Days Left)

[/p][p]Today was a full story-writing day for us. We spent the whole day adding new events, polishing dialogues and expanding the world piece by piece. The update is very close now, and honestly, we’re starting to get excited about how everything is coming together. We really think you’ll enjoy what’s on the way.
[/p][p]For today’s post, I wanted to share a small gif from one of the new stories. It’s just a tiny slice of what you’ll see in the update, but it shows the new tone and presentation style we’ve been working on. There will be hundreds of new story moments like this, many of them branching and reactive to your choices.

New Music and Ambient Sounds Are Coming to MiLord (3 Days Left)

[p]Hello MiLords and MiLadies.[/p][p][/p][p]Today I want to talk about something that really changes the feeling of the game: the soundscape. Thanks to Uluç Kaymak, the sound designer from InEv Games, MiLord is getting a set of brand-new music tracks. More than 10 pieces have been composed to match different scenes and moods; calmer moments in the court, tense encounters, darker story beats and more.[/p][p][/p][p]We’re also adding new ambient sounds to make the world feel fuller and more alive. Busy mornings, quiet halls, distant storms, crackling torches etc…[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]I’m not entirely sure how many of these will make it into the update in 3 days, since work is still ongoing. We’re Joining The Medieval Festival

And yes, our new update will go live on the very first day of the event.[/p][p][/p][p]And one more thing: during the festival, we’ll be doing the biggest discount we’ve ever had for MiLord. Frequently Asked Questions - Answering What You’ve Been Asking (5 Days Left)

[p]Hello MiLords and MiLadies. [/p][p][/p][p]Today I wanted to do something a little different. Over the past few days, I’ve seen the same questions popping up on Steam, Discord and in the comments. So I thought it would be helpful to gather all of them in one place and give clear answers. This way everything is transparent, and you know exactly what’s going on in development.[/p][p][/p][p]Here are the most frequently asked questions and my answers:[/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]Q1: Is the game dead, or will there be updates?[/p][p]Development is still ongoing. Right now, I’m the only one left on the team, so progress is slower. But updates will continue as long as I’m here, and even though I’m working on other projects too, I’m committed to moving the game forward step by step.[/p][p][/p][p]There’re really just one con and one pro: the con is slower progress, while the pro is that I don’t rely on the game for income. That gives me the freedom to focus on making the design feel right. This project won’t be abandoned. Even if nobody buys it, I’ll finish it.[/p][p][/p][p]Q2: The main storyline doesn’t progress. Is this a bug?[/p][p]The length is intentional. I’ve started working with a new team and will be adding more storylines bit by bit. It’s not complete yet, just unfinished. And did I mention there are over 600 new stories already written? Most of them directly support the main storyline. When the 1.0 update arrives, you’ll have hours and hours of content to play through.[/p][p][/p][p]Q3: Why is the resource balance so difficult?[/p][p]You’re right, the balance far from perfect. I’m working on improvements and also exploring new systems to make gameplay more engaging. After the new update, I’ll need your help. I’m going to ask you to play a bit more and share your thoughts on the balance so I can adjust things properly.[/p][p][/p][p]Q4: Is there gamepad support?[/p][p]Not yet, but I plan to add it in the future.[/p][p][/p][p]Q5: Will there be a marriage & family system?[/p][p]I’d like to add it, but it’s a pretty complicated feature (and I don’t want to just throw in a shallow version). For now, it’s not likely to be included.[/p][p][/p][p]Q6: Will language support be expanded?[/p][p]In the next update, new storylines will first come out in English only. Within a week I’ll add other languages, and I also want to keep expanding localization. If there’s a language you’d like to see, just reach out to me on Discord or Steam and we can talk about how to add it.[/p][p][/p][p]Q7: How does the petition system work?[/p][p]It’s one of Milord’s core mechanics. We have a pool of tasks, and each day the system randomly selects a group from that pool. Alongside these, there are static main story quests. The system runs algorithmically every day to keep gameplay dynamic.[/p][p][/p][p]Q8: Where is the goat, and what is it doing?[/p][p]My goat is currently playing with her friends and sneaking into the vineyard in my backyard.
