Kjun's Letter: Addressing Player Feedback and Launching the Brainstorm Channel

[p]Hello, Creators. [/p][p]Kjun here.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The weather here in Korea has been extremely hot these past few days. With temperatures nearing 40°C, our team is spending more time indoors to work on inZOI. How's summer where you all are?[/p][p]
[/p][p]Today, I'd like to start things off by talking about the Cahaya update.[/p][p]Many players expressed their excitement and expectations for the update after it was revealed. Seeing so much enthusiasm for something we've been working hard on developing has been both encouraging and a reminder of our responsibility toward our community.[/p][p]While Cahaya remains the central focus of the August update, we'll also be making improvements to the game's simulations in response to player feedback. Here are two key areas we're focusing on.[/p][p]
[/p][p]1. Unique Zoi Personalities and Behavior[/p][p]We've received feedback from many players regarding the lack of distinctive behavior and traits among different Zois. To address this, we're adding various improvements to make each Zoi's unique personality and preferences feel more pronounced.[/p][p]2. Zoi Goals and Player Guides[/p][p] Several players have expressed difficulty finding out what to do next in the game, largely because key information related to Zoi goals is hidden deep within the UI. We've also received feedback that the lack of meaningful rewards makes fulfilling these goals feel underwhelming. While inZOI is designed to encourage a wide variety of playstyles, we are working on making the core gameplay loop more clear and engaging.[/p][p]
[/p][p]I'd also like to share some details on Cahaya's overall concept and gameplay, which many players have been curious about.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Cahaya is themed as an island getaway. To bring that experience to life, players will be able to make brief trips to this region while living in either Dowon or Bliss Bay. We've all had moments where we want to escape the monotony of everyday life. Cahaya was designed to offer such an escape, a peaceful holiday retreat where players can unwind and relax.[/p][p]This update will also introduce swimming, a key part of any vacation experience. We hope this addition makes your time in Cahaya feel even more immersive and relaxing.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We're aware that both adding new content and refining existing gameplay are equally important, which is why our team is working harder than ever. While we can't fix everything overnight, we remain committed to making steady improvements to provide our Creators with the experience they desire.[/p][p]
[/p][p]To hear from our players more directly, we've also launched the Brainstorm channel in our Discord.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Unlike the Kjun's Letter format, which was somewhat one-sided in its approach, the Brainstorm channel will allow for more interactive communication surrounding the game's development. We hope this helps us improve the game based on your feedback.[/p][p]Kjun's Letters will no longer follow a regular release schedule going forward and will instead be posted whenever our team has information to communicate with you all. However, feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions with us any time in the Brainstorm channel.[/p][p]It's very hot out there these days, so be sure to take care.[/p][p]I'll be back soon with more updates for you all![/p][p]
[/p][p]Thank you.[/p][p]Kjun[/p]

Kjun's Letter: Meet the Team at the inZOI MeetUp!

[p]Hello, Creators.[/p][p][/p][p]Kjun here.[/p][p][/p][p]Here in Korea, the monsoon season has just begun, and it's been raining almost every day. How's the weather where you are? I imagine summer is in full swing for some of you as well. On our end, we're busy preparing for gamescom this August, while also pouring our excitement into development for Cahaya.[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to working on the build for gamescom, we've been preparing several events. One event that we're especially excited to announce is the inZOI MeetUp, which will offer Creators a chance to meet and communicate with the inZOI Team in person.[/p][p][/p][p]Over the past two years, our community has shown incredible support for inZOI. This event is dedicated to honoring that support, bringing our team and the community together to reflect on the past, present, and future of inZOI. We hope it becomes a special experience for everyone involved, and we can't wait to see you there.[/p][p][/p][p]Registration for the MeetUp will begin on July 4, which happens to be the day this post goes live. While we unfortunately won't be able to invite everyone, we hope to see as many Creators as possible join us for this special occasion.[/p][p][/p][p]This event was planned for two main reasons. First, we wanted to personally thank the many Creators who have supported inZOI through our journey so far. Second, now that it's been about 90 days since inZOI's early access release, I've had some time to look back upon whether I had truly understood what our players wanted. Recent conversations with Partner Creators, along with feedback from the broader community, allowed our team to reflect on areas we might have overlooked. At the upcoming MeetUp, we hope to hear similar feedback firsthand to help shape the direction of the game's development and updates going forward.[/p][p][/p][p]Please keep letting us know what you think. Your feedback helps shape the future of inZOI and is always appreciated.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you again for your continued passion and support.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you.[/p][p]- Kjun[/p]

Inzoi delays next modding update, extending the wait for custom interactions

The next Inzoi modding update is delayed, as Krafton's Inzoi Studio confirms it's pushing back the second rollout of mod tools for its ultra-realistic life sim "to ensure feature completeness." Previously scheduled for September, the new additions will give modders more capability to address some of the bigger complaints about the recently released challenger to The Sims 4, with the potential to create custom interactions and specific character features.

Modding Roadmap Schedule Update

[p]Hello, Creators.[/p][p][/p][p]This is an update regarding changes made to the schedule and content of inZOI's modding roadmap for 2025.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]The next modding update, initially scheduled for September, has been postponed to October. It will be released alongside the inZOI gameplay update planned for the same period.[/p]
  • [p]In addition, we've decided to exclude a UI editor feature originally planned for this update following internal review.
    [/p]
[p]This decision was made to ensure feature completeness, better alignment with the game's overall direction, and more consistent quality. Additional details will be shared around the time of the October update. To avoid any confusion with the previously revealed roadmap, we will be sharing these changes through our official channels as they happen.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your continued interest in inZOI's modding features.
