The Night Shift Update 0.4.23

Hey all,

Another small update today, this one includes a couple big fixes to issues that snuck in.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
- Fixed the office door already being unlocked on night 2.
- Fixed getting into a situation where one of the three possible shifts never show on night 6 and 7.
- Fixed the change room missing its ceiling on night 6 and 7.
- Fixed a missing mesh above a gate on night 8.
- Fixed various props clipping each other on night 8.
- Fixed not getting the clock off task when completing the last task on night 8.
- Fixed exploded light pendants still looking like they are on.
- Fixed certain situations where tutorials wouldn't show key binds.
- Fixed load menu not showing if deleted all saved games.
- Fixed the 'Change Room Key' displayed text not being localized.
- Fixed the 'Missing Tech' task not being localized.

The Night Shift Update 0.4.2

Hey all,

Hope you are all doing well.

This update has a bunch of fixes and small changes, as well as introducing a couple of minor things.

First things first, The Night Shift is now completely playable by controller - also meaning Steam Deck (I will need to make some more adjustments for it to be 100% verified for Steam Deck). The layout's aren't in game yet, and neither are the buttons, I am planning on getting these in the next update. For the mean time, here's what the layout currently look like.

In addition to that, I have made a few more changes including adding a couple more tutorials on night 1, reviewed some item placement during various shifts and added painkillers that spawn randomly on each night.

As for fixes, I found a nasty issue when loading saved games that were night 4 and night 7, these would get into a cycle of loading the same three shifts over and over again. This has now been fixed, so you should have no issue when loading any saved games.
The next big one, was on night 5, when interacting with the fire alarm it would become pitch black. The intended sequence now plays correctly, and it is no longer complete darkness.

- Updated atmosphere in a specific area on night 8.
- Updated the locations of some of the possible spawn points for the red handles on night 8.

- Updated more items to display a notice when picking them up.
- Updated DirectX11 to allow Lumen again.
- Updated location of the theme settings to bonus content tab.
- Updated various SFX.
- Removed rubbish foliage from the changerooms on the women's section shift.
- Removed large orange flashing on night 5.

- Fixed loading into night 4 or 7, the next level not being the correct level.
- Fixed a random light near the door on the shift focused in the men's section.
- Fixed placing the fire extinguisher on the women's section shift.
- Fixed being able to walk around in the opening.
- Fixed restoring settings duplicating options in dropdowns.
- Fixed clock on machine displaying "clocked on" if player's interact with it repeatedly.
- Fixed being able to get the intro out of time during night 1.
- Fixed not turning off radio on first use on night 1.
- Fixed one of the hallways light already being on night 2.
- Fixed mannequins getting stuck near the kitchen on night 2.
- Fixed the safe not being locked on night 5.
- Fixed the amount of fire alarms needing to trigger before progressing on night 5.
- Fixed one of the training manuals floating in the jean area on night 5.
- Fixed the lighting during the last section of night 5 not displaying correctly.
- Fixed being able to open and close the warehouse doors by interacting with them on night 8.
- Fixed being able to jump over a specific barricade on night 8.
- Fixed the potential for a soft lock on night 8.
- Fixed the change room key text not being localized.
- Fixed there being a small delay when interacting with certain themed items.
- Fixed Steam Timeline not correctly displaying when painkillers are used.
- Various performance and optimizations improvements.

The Night Shift Update 0.4.11

Hey all,

I hate to do another update so close to previous ones, but I ran into a couple of bad issues whilst developing this afternoon - ones that I didn't experience before today.

- Updated various cupboards in the furniture area to be interactable.
- Updated mannequin audio to be a little louder.
- Updated mannequins behaviour during April Fools.
- Increased amount of mannequins that spawn during the night in the men's section.

- Fixed not being able to progress on night 5 if you skipped a step.
- Fixed being able to trigger the gates more than once on night 5.
- Fixed foliage missing materials.
- Fixed the kitchen drawers pushing the player sideways.
- Fixed Christmas decorations clipping various props.
- Fixed artefacting on various props.
- Fixed hurt overlay not being full screen.
- Fixed mannequin movement audio being so quiet.
- Fixed lamps going absolutely nuts if you attempt to turn it on/off after carrying it.
- Minor performance and optimization improvements.
