Dungeon Stalkers 2nd Test added content & changes

Hello Stalkers!

The 2nd test of Dungeon Stalkers is about to begin! Those who participated in the 1st test have been eagerly wondering what changes will occur in the 2nd test. Numerous balances have been significantly altered, and many improvements based on your feedback have been implemented. Please check the list below!

Content Additions:
  • [h3]Solo Mode[/h3] Solo mode, accessible only for solo players and not parties, has been added. Even those playing alone can enjoy the game.
  • [h3]Rank System[/h3] The rank system has been implemented for the first time. It displays your adventures in ranks. Climb up to the highest rank!
  • [h3]Stalkers Costumes[/h3] Stalkers' costumes have been added. Initially, you can explore costumes with various color variations.
  • [h3]Map Block - Goblin Mine[/h3] A Goblin Mine block is added to DS's random maps. The minerals from the Goblin Mine will be crucial items for future crafting. (Crafting is not included in this test)
  • [h3]Witch's Curse[/h3] Five new witch's curses have been added. (We’ll keep the specifics secret for you to have fun.)
  • [h3]Witch's Summons System[/h3] To make the time spent in the dungeon's last phase more enjoyable, the Witch's Summons have been added. During the final stage, when there aren’t many monsters or other players wandering in the dungeon, the Witch's Summons will make it more exciting. The Red Curtain (Forcefield) gathers everyone in the dungeon to impose a trial. If you survive the trial, you'll get a chance to escape. But be cautious; not everyone who gathers are allies.
  • [h3]Ping System[/h3] The basics of ping system has been implemented. You can use ping through the middle mouse button.
  • [h3]Location-Based Voice Chat[/h3] Voice chat has been implemented, based on location. Your voice can be heard not only by party members but also by nearby enemies in the dungeon.
  • [h3]Stamina Introduction[/h3] The stamina system has been introduced. By pressing the Shift key, you can sprint for a short period. Unlike the 1st test where MP was consumed upon successful defense, stamina is consumed this time around.
  • [h3]Various Monsters[/h3] With the addition of the Goblin Mine, various goblins and some other monsters have been added. Some existing monsters have also been modified to have more powerful attacks.
  • [h3]Friend System[/h3] The friend system has been added. You can add friends or invite them to parties from the 'Dungeon' menu by clicking the friend icon.
  • [h3]Witch's servant[/h3] Witch's servant has been added. You can make requests with gold. But if you attack it...
Improvements:
  • [h3]Armor Destruction Related Improvements[/h3] When armor is destroyed, only upper body equipment is now destroyed. Other equipment, apart from the destroyed upper body gear, can be replaced at any time. The emphasis on HP has been increased.
  • [h3]Damage Calculation Formula Modification[/h3] The damage calculation formula has been changed to address combat balance issues identified in the 1st test. Extreme damage output issues have been resolved.
  • [h3]30 New Weapons added[/h3] 30 new weapons have been added for greater variety.
  • [h3]Increase in Weapons and Equipment Options[/h3] For more diverse equipment, the number of options for equipment has been increased from 4 to 6.
  • [h3]Improvement to Baran’s Grappling Hook Attack[/h3] The popular skill had issues properly pulling enemies if slightly caught. The pulling method has been improved to smoothly pull enemies.
  • [h3]Warning Message when Entering Dungeon with Items[/h3] To prevent accidentally bringing items, if there are a certain number of items in the inventory or in the safe deposit box, a warning message will be displayed when entering the dungeon.
  • [h3]Canceling Skill or Bow Attack[/h3] Right-clicking during a bow attack or skill casting allows cancellation.
  • [h3]Interaction with Doors[/h3] Previously, the interaction had to be done where the door closed. Now, proper interaction with door objects is possible, reducing confusion.
  • [h3]Ranged Attacks Possible through Iron Bars[/h3] While ranged attacks through iron bars were supported in the past, the hitbox was ambiguous. The modeling of iron bars has been modified to clearly create a space where attacks can be made.
  • [h3]Alert when Being the Last Person in the Dungeon[/h3] An alert is displayed when you become the last party or person in the dungeon.
  • [h3]Mission Item Acquisition for All Party Members Simultaneously[/h3] When completing a mission, everyone can now acquire the item instead of just one person. We will monitor gamers' reactions during this test.
  • [h3]Added basic storage capacity increase and expansion feature[/h3] You can now expand your storage using gold.
  • [h3]Fixed an issue where character corpses disappeared[/h3] Addressed the problem of defeated characters from other players not disappearing.

Dungeon Stalkers 2nd Playtest during Steam Next Fest!!!

Hello Stalkers!

It’s been over a month since our last playtest.
Aren’t you all waiting for our game?



Dungeon Stalkers will be participating in the Steam Next Fest on Feb. 5th!
The game will be available for a week (Feb 5 ~ 12) during the festival period.

We’ve improved and added many features after hearing the feedback after our first playtest!
We will share the detailed list of the improvements that we made as we get closer to the Steam Next Fest.
