Here at Marmalade we absolutely love board games and we've created a wide range of board games for digital platforms. So far, our titles include Monopoly on mobile, Battleship, The Game of Life 2, Cluedo, Mouse Trap, and more across mobile, Steam, and console.

We're passionate about enabling people to enjoy their favourite games with their friends and family, no matter where they are. For us, it's all about creating cherished memories, even when there's distance, and Ticket to Ride embodies this same philosophy.

We've put a lot of effort into making the game accessible and user-friendly, so you can focus on what you love most – strategizing and building the greatest railway network on the board!

Today, we're thrilled to explore a feature we know many of you have been eagerly anticipating: our advanced AI!

Marmalade Game Studio's AI in Ticket to Ride is far from your ordinary computer opponent. It has been meticulously crafted to mimic real players, ensuring that it challenges you as you progress through the game. Our development team put in countless hours studying and interviewing top players to create an AI that adapts, strategizes, and competes in real-time. The outcome is a dynamic AI system that delivers a satisfying gameplay experience for both newcomers and seasoned pros.


The secret of our Ai’s prowess? It doesn’t just play the game; it studies it. We’re using cutting-edge technology that allows us to run thousands of game simulations lightning-fast. It’s almost like teaching our AI through ‘‘experience’’. We pit AI against AI, refining their strategies based on thousands of trial runs.

Cristina Mereuta, co-CEO of Marmalade Game Studio, sums it up nicely:

Hello, travellers! Today, we're venturing into the world of Ticket to Ride, the classic board game that has captured the hearts and minds of players worldwide.

Ticket to Ride was created by the talented board game designer, Alan R. Moon.

As a lifelong gamer, Moon grew up with a passion for board games. But unlike many of his peers, he never stopped playing them.

In 2003, the Spiel des Jahres-winning designer Alan R. Moon met with Days of Wonder to show a prototype of what would later become Ticket to Ride. Moon explained the rules in no time, and they set about placing rudimentary train cars across a map of the United States. Roughly two-thirds of the way through the game, Alan swept the board and packed up the prototype, saying “Good, you understand the principle of the game. It’s very simple.”

And the rest, as they say, is history!

The game’s release and reception in 2004 would prove more successful than anyone could imagine. The title has since been widely regarded as one of the best board games of all time. And now, the adventure of Ticket to Ride awaits you in an exciting reimagined digital version of the beloved board game.
