Season 1: Cave Odyssey of Expeditions is OUT!

Season 1 is all about exploring uncharted territory. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, Cave Odyssey invites you to dig up some long-lost secrets in a brand-new cave environment. For the first time in the MudRunner series, you can explore massive, maze-like tunnels—on your own or with friends—where rare gems and records of a mysterious ancient civilization are hidden. Collect these treasures and become part of a unique scientific discovery, but keep in mind that this underground world is even trickier to navigate than the surface!

We’ve also got two new vehicles to help you tackle the 14 expeditions, 12 contracts, and 11 tasks in Cave Odyssey: the Step 72-49 "Albatross," a tough six-wheeler, and the Shiba Overlander, a nimble scout perfect for squeezing through tight spots. Plus, you can get help from two specialists, Nava Desayi and Solveig Friedenlund—an Operator and a Jaeger—who come with cool abilities like speeding up your drone or marking airdrops and shortcuts.

[h3]New content drops for free![/h3]

In addition to the Season 1 content for Year Pass owners, we’re also dropping sweet new gameplay content, for free, for everyone: the Step 33-64 "Crocodile," a famous high-clearance truck, the GPS Tracker tool, which can be placed on equipment caches to automatically sell their contents, and the Helipad module, letting you teleport instantly to another vehicle.

There’s plenty more free content coming to Expeditions, including new game mechanics, specialists, vehicles, and all the cool paid features included in the Year 1 Pass—and get ready for Season 2 with even more surprises! STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING. I know, I say that a lot - certainly more than I should to readers who could literally be anywhere in the world and doing anything at the times I end up addressing them. It's justified this time though, I swear.

You see, Xbox has just announced the latest batch of Game Pass arrivals - the titles which'll be hitting the service during September - and they're almost all aimed at the particular genre of boring wanker I am, and that you may well be too.

September's list of Game Pass arrivals includes no less than three games all aimed at us wetwipes, in the form of Star Trucker, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, and Train Sim World 5. Can you hear that? It's the sound of a thousand lads called Keith who could yak about a five-speed transmission for hours and have their day made whenever they go on a rail journey violently orgasming. Now, cover your ears and give them some privacy.

Expeditions - Update 6

A new update is now live on Expeditions, fixing various bugs and issues. You'll find the patch notes below.

Bug Fixes

Fixed issue of player being softlocked after leaving a coop game as a guest
“Conquest of Frontier” expedition now displays correct progression percentage to guest player
Unattainable rewards and bonus rewards will not be displayed for guests in expeditions reward screen
Guest unlocking an upgrade already obtained by the host will not increment host region upgrade counter
Global map shortcut hint now stops blinking on the map menu after interaction
Player portrait should now appear in the correct size on the global map
“Manage Party” shortcut now displays correct keybind in Esc menu

Various text UI tweaks
Background UI elements should now display correct region when switching from co-op to single player
Changed position of “hide waypoint” shortcut hint and added guest/host player info for better visibility on the map screen
“Manage Party” button added to the item store screen

Expeditions - Co-op Hotfix (22/07/24)

Hello Runners,

We just deployed a hotfix to correct a few bugs we spotted with the co-op update we pushed last week.
More details down below:

The Global map allows the Player to change a truck
Fixed a bug where all regions were locked after starting a co-op session using a save slot with an unfinished Tutorial

[h3]UI:[/h3]

Fixed a co-op bug where the Minimap wasn't displayed on the Deploy screen after re-entering from HQ
Fixed a bug where the Host didn’t see trucks has been selected by the Guest

[h3]Gameplay:[/h3]

Progress towards some sticker rewards for co-operative play counts for all session players, not just the one who initiated the action
Fixed a crash after the Guest reconnected to a session with the same truck selected
Fixed a crash when the host goes to HQ after the guest re-enters the lobby

[h3]Known issues:[/h3]

In some cases, the lobby code will be different if the game was found using Find Game
Turning on headlights doesn’t work on gamepads
