Major Update: "Graphic Reimagined" is OUT NOW!

Hey everyone, it's Circuit Art!
Today, we are thrilled to announce the latest free update for our project, The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty.

However, please notice that the save files from legacy version won't work after the update, but you can still continue your old save files by following steps:
  • Right-click game title on your Steam Library view
  • Click properties
  • Click Betas (on the left side-bar)
  • Select vanilla - OG Last Soldier on "Beta Participation" tag (which displays "NONE" by default)

Then the game will start on legacy version. We apologize for any inconvinience it may cause. This major update gives the game brand-new visual effects, which means we have to rewrite the structure of data totally, makes it impossible to be compatible with old save files.

This update is a big one, so sit back, relax, and get ready to enjoy this exciting new journey with the Last Soldier!

We implemented major changes to optimise the framerate and redesigned the characters, as well as made adjustments to the early stages of the game to enhance the gaming experience. Additionally, we have improved the lighting to create a more vivid environment.

We have been facing difficulties as an indie game studio since December of last year. While we have received advice from many people to focus on our next game and not struggle with the current one, we, as a three-person studio, have decided to put all our efforts into improving the current game as if it were our last. Despite downsizing the studio and facing some struggles, we are determined to make this game better.

Hello everyone, this is Circuit_Art. In the last issue, we previewed the remake of our character models, and today we'd like share the recent environment update with you.

Light and shadow processing in a game affects the overall visual effects of the game, and we have been learning a lot about light and shadow processing on the development of The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty. In the next major update, we will add more lighting details on the original style of the game's graphics, so as to improve the visual effects of various scenes.





This major update will be released with the DLC because of its size.

Next, we will continue to optimize the gameplay.

Major Update is Coming! #1 Characters

Hello everyone! This is Circuit_Art. As you may have noticed, The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty has not been updated since January. Don't worry, we just being busy on some major updates for the game that will take more time and effort to complete.

In short, we adjust the character body types to make them look more normal, based on feedback from a wide range of players.

This is a difficult decision for us. It will not affect the gameplay, but we have to change a lot of work we have done before. We knew that such a change might upset some players who preferred the original style of the characters, and these models may not be as beautiful as other similar action games for now. However, we finally decided to make these changes, because we realize it may not only bring players a better gaming experience, but also pave the way for subsequent updates.



Also, a new DLC will be released with the next major update, which contains new battlegrounds, new enemies, and much more.

Regular Update#15

Here are the contents of update:

1. Fixed an issue where button prompt can’t show up instantly.
2. Character’s move gets locked in the cutscene.
3. Optimize the running frame of Meditate level.
4. Unlocked all rechallengable Boss in Meditate after cleared the game once.
5. Added new information about the weight of a weapon.
6. Fixed some incorrect texts.

Regular Update#14

Here are the contents of update:

1. Fixed an issue where left trigger of controller wouldn't work properly.
2. Fixed an issue where crossbow can’t be attacked.
3. Removed the consumption of sliding when player out of combat.
