We’re bothering you more often with our announcements, and this trend will continue over the next few weeks, as a whole plethora of cool things is about to happen. Also, Moriana wasn’t exactly pleased with our irregular communication… We can still feel the whip marks on our cheeks. [/p][p][/p][p]So yes - we’re just a few days away from the PC Gaming Show - Most Wanted. Woohoo! We’re totally not stressed about it. Everything is fine. Don’t mind our sweaty hands… Alright, maybe we’re slightly nervous, but we’ll survive. And if any of us drop dead from panic, don’t worry. We have a friendly necromancess on standby.[/p][p] [/p][p]But that’s not the main topic of today’s announcement. We have something even more exciting to share with you. For those eagerly awaiting the next major update, we have a real treat…[/p][p]
[/p][h2]EARLY ACCESS TO EARLY ACCESS![/h2][p]Yes, it sounds silly, but hear us out.[/p][p][/p][p]The HORDE REBORN update will be available to everyone very soon. But before that, we need to give it one last round of polishing. And we need your help! If you have a moment and would like early access to the upcoming update, here’s what to do:[/p][p][/p][h3]1. Unlock the Special Branch![/h3][p][/p][p]💀 First, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that, before accessing a new version, you back up your save files. Just in case something goes south. Simply go to:[/p][p]C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\AppData\\Local\\BeMyHorde\\Saved[/p][p]And copy-paste the content of the folder somewhere where evil demons won’t find it.[/p][p][/p][p]Then, right-click Be My Horde in your library, choose Properties, and go to the Betas tab. Enter the password:[/p][p]ibackedupmysave[/p][p]Then select the newly unlocked playtests branch. This gives you access to the new version of Be My Horde before anyone else. :)[/p][p][/p][p]Important note! Playing the playtest version will upgrade your save files, and you WON’T be able to return to the older game version unless you backed up your saves. However, any progress you make in the playtest version will be carried over once the Horde Reborn update launches officially. [/p][p][/p][h3]2. Show Us How You Play[/h3][p][/p][p]Next, simply play the new version, and we will receive a wealth of necessary data that will greatly help us! We’ll be able to see if certain levels are too hard or too easy, which perks are ignored or overused, and what might still need polishing before launch.[/p][p]
The Send Game Data option is turned on by default, but if you turned it off and you want to help us, you can turn it back on. You can find it in the Gameplay tab of the options menu. It sends us only completely anonymous gameplay data.

[/p][h3]3. Share More Feedback![/h3][p][/p][p]If you want to leave feedback directly, join our Discord server and share your thoughts in the #playtests channel. We’ll read everything and happily discuss all matters related to the update.[/p][p][/p][p]And that’s it! [p][/p][h2]Hello, Horde![/h2][p][/p][p]We know you’ve been eagerly waiting for the next big update to Be My Horde, and we’re thrilled to say we’re getting there! The upcoming update tackles many of the issues and suggestions you’ve shared with us over the past few months. And we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on.
[/p][h2]So… where is it? And what have we been up to lately?[/h2][h2]You know us — we like to be an open book (Moriana insists on it). So here’s the rundown:[/h2][p][/p][p]June was all about regular hotfixes after the Welcome to Hell update launched (along with some celebrations, of course). In July, we took a step back to review your amazing feedback and plan what’s next. Then we realized: with your support, Be My Horde can become something much bigger. So we expanded the game’s scope, which meant rethinking some of our original plans.[/p][p][/p][p]Through August, we worked on internal tools to help us rebuild the game’s core. These aren’t things visible to you, but they’ll make it much easier and faster for us to improve our design and implement content in the future. During late August and September, things got hectic. We continued development while also attending Gamescom, PAX West, and Tokyo Game Show, plus launched the Japanese update. That all took a lot of time, and some production tasks had to be pushed back a bit.[/p][p][/p][p]Now, in October, we’re fully focused again with all hands on deck! We’re hard at work implementing the new systems and improvements. But to ensure everything is as polished (pun always intended) as possible, we’ve decided to set the release window for the beginning of December.

[/p][h2]WINTER IS COMING[/h2][p][/p][p]Okay, we had our little Halloween break. Now it’s time to get back to business. What can you expect from the December update? Some of this we already mentioned in previous announcements, but here’s everything gathered in one place.
[/p][h3]SIGNIFICANT BALANCE TWEAKS[/h3][p]We’re rebalancing the whole game. We know that skyrocketing difficulty between Easy and Hard levels in both Kingdom and Hell isn’t fun at all. And so, we will add FIVE difficulty levels to each world. Each tier will present a bigger challenge than the previous one. They will, of course, come with proper rewards (more about it later). This solution will bring a smoother difficulty curve (psst, we will also implement a very cool and lavish new level selector screen [/p][h3]META-PROGRESSION REVAMPED[/h3][p]New levels mean new rewards. You’ll now get something valuable for defeating Richard and the Devil on different difficulties. The talent tree introduced in Hell will now expand across the whole game, with unique grids for each world. By harvesting the souls of your enemies, you’ll earn the currency needed to gain talent points, which you can spend to strengthen both Moriana and her Horde. And yes, higher difficulties will also come with proper reward multipliers for those who love a challenge.
[/p][h3]PERKS FINALLY IMPACTFUL[/h3][p]We’re giving the perk system a complete overhaul. The weaker, less exciting perks will become talents (unlocked through the new progression system), while the rest will be made more powerful and meaningful. We’re also adding some new perks and tweaking how they occur. For example, instant perks like Blood Harvest will appear more often when you actually need them.
[/p][h3]STORY AND OTHERS[/h3][p]We’re also adding new dialogues with Moriana in the Dominion. These will serve not only as rewards for conquering higher difficulties but also as a way to learn more about her story, thoughts, and motives. Along with that, a new building in the Dominion will let you revisit old conversations if you missed them or explore alternative dialogue choices.[/p][p][/p][p]And of course, the December update will come with a bunch of smaller improvements, visual upgrades, and minor tweaks — all of which we’ll cover in the full patch notes once the update goes live.[/p][p][/p][p]So, there’s a lot of it. [/p][h2]TOKYO GAME SHOW & JAPANESE LOCALIZATION[/h2][p][/p][p]We’re thrilled to announce that Be My Horde will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show! The event kicks off tomorrow, and we couldn’t be more excited. This will be Polished Games’ very first time in Japan, so we’re stepping into brand-new territory. Wish us luck![/p][p][/p][p]Of course, we couldn’t attend TGS without properly localizing our game into Japanese. So, as of today, Be My Horde is fully playable in this language! We’re incredibly happy to finally connect with our Japanese fans through this update.
