8BitMMO is now publicly playable via Steam! Having worked on this game for the past twelve years, I am so excited to bring 8BitMMO today to the Steam community. I very much hope you enjoy playing it. See you in-game! :)

8BitMMO is Now Available on Steam Early Access!

8BitMMO is a retro-style 2D massively multiplayer game! It's a giant construction sandbox -- you can build a home or a castle in a persistent streaming world. Found and manage your own city. Fight evil LawyerCats and engage in Player vs Player battle. Work in Progress!

Play 8BitMMO on your desktop today by getting a Founder's Pack. Eventually the desktop edition of the game is planned to be publicly available and free to play, but in order to provide the best possible experience to players I want to initially limit access to purchasers only. This will allow me to scale my servers up gradually over time and work closely with the community to develop the game. In exchange for your purchase, you will receive a variety of in-game benefits.

All beta tokens have been sent out! You should have one in your inbox now if you signed up for the windows beta (linux & mac are still to come post-early access launch).

If you missed it, not to worry - I am hoping to launch the game this lucky Friday the 13th on Early Access! I've added a number of servers and done a fair bit of load testing, so fingers crossed we should be able to handle the launch load. Fun fact: I'm now paying more for servers than my rent, lol -_-

Thanks everyone for the bug reports, suggestions, and generally being active in-game and in the community. It's so awesome to see the community grow! :D
