Each survivor is precious, potentially developing a unique set of skills and abilities. All of which may be of use to your group of survivors, spread across three distinct skill trees: Combat, Survival, and Endurance. Each also has needs that need to be met. Harness their potential and survive in a collapsed world: Scour derelict buildings for canned goods, hunt animals and fish, or try and keep your camp intact long enough to harvest fresh produce from the garden.

If you prefer online play and multiplayer, Survival Nation: Lost Horizon has you covered. Adventure across the post-apocalypse in groups and face challenges together in PVE. Prefer solitary pursuits without the threat of other players hanging over you? We are beyond excited to share that we are officially looking for community members like yourself to join our closed community playtest!

There are only 250 slots available and the sign-up form will close on March 27th so don't hesitate to get signed up! The playtest itself will run for a week and a half and keys will be revoked at the end of the playtest. Information about the playtest and how to sign up are noted below.

Hello Survivors!🧟

A lot has happened since our last dev update. As you may have seen, we participated in the Steam Next Fest. During this festival, you could play our demo. Thank you very much to all those who played it and left feedback!
We also changed our name - you can read more about it here.
What about game development?
[h2]Day-Night Cycle[/h2]

Our team has worked on the Day-Night Cycle. Apart from visual effects, we also adjusted the enemies. During the night they are stronger and more aggressive. A moon icon appears above the enemies' heads, this way we know that we are dealing with night zombies.



[h2]Cooking[/h2]

When the player approaches the bonfire, the UI will appear, where the player will have the option of cooking “prepare food” or fast traveling “travel”. After selecting “prepare food”, all the food we can bake and we have in our inventory will appear. Then the player just has to select one of them and click "cook".


[h2]Character Customization[/h2]

Express yourself in the game! We added the Character Customization Panel to the main menu. The player can choose skin and hair color, hairstyle and add moustache or/and beard.



In the time since the last dev update, we have also been working on the demo version at Steam Next Fest and on the general optimization of the game. We have also started working on the Steam Deck version.

Hello Survivors! 🧟

We wanted to drop in with some more official news - the name of the game is changing.

The reasoning behind the name change is fairly simple. We wanted the name of the game to be more aligned with what a player's experience will be while they play it. The "GO" title has become associated with mobile games over the last few years and we felt that was not quite the right fit despite our goal of ensuring the game will be playable on the go with a SteamDeck.

After some internal discussion, we decided to go with Survival Nation: Lost Horizon as our new game name. Since the game is a top-down experience, you will never see the horizon. 😉

With the name change comes a few other updates such as brand new logo and new social links. All of our socials have been updated with the new name so to find us, please use the links below!
