Update 1.01 for the OMSI 2 Add-on MAN Interurban Lion's Intercity LE is available now!

The OMSI 2 MAN Interurban Lion's Intercity LE Add-on is now available on Steam!



The Lion's Intercity LE intercity bus from MAN now also finds its way into “OMSI 2 the bus simulator” with four authentically implemented model versions and a realistic implementation of a MAN driver’s workplace.
Its production start in reality was in the first quarter of 2022, so it is a very new bus. It can be used for intercity transport, where it connects cities and suburbs with the surrounding area. This version has adapted seats and luggage racks. It is also often used in the shuttle service and, last but not least, for school bus transport; a variant with double doors in the entrance area is available for this purpose. The city bus version has corresponding seats and no shelves for luggage.
This OMSI vehicle extension contains the MAN Lion's Intercity LE in various lengths. Its modular system allows for different seating arrangements including space for wheelchairs, strollers or standing passengers. Its passenger seats are modernly furnished and offer passengers amenities such as USB ports for charging cell phones. Thanks to this flexibility, the MAN Lion's Intercity LE can even be used as a long-distance bus.
Thanks to SETVAR settings, a variety of variants are possible here. Among other things, door designs (inside swing doors, outside swing doors and swing sliding doors), seating layouts, inside and outside mirrors, lights and destination displays can be configured. Documents from the manufacturer served as a template.

We would like to thank you for the (extremely positive) feedback so far.
Nevertheless, we have received some comments, some of which have now been adapted and corrected in version 1-01 of OMSI Hohenkirchen.

The development team continues to work on optimisations and additions, but these will take some time. With version 1-01, functions in the buses and equipment of the map will be adjusted, among other things.

The following is a more detailed list in the changelog.

Version 1.01

Bus

• IBIS now plays a sound when the departure time is reached.
  
• Departure request no longer has to be acknowledged on the IBIS,
  
• but can also be confirmed by driving off.
  
• License plate of MAN A20 in EURO5 version no longer shows Berlin as default number plate
  
• Money from ticket purchase now remains correctly on the pay table in the IVECO articulated bus
  
• IVECO Urbanway now has grey walls in the interior to be closer to the real thing,
  
• in addition, it has become even more performance-friendly due to texture optimisations
  
• The interior of the MAN A20 now has a more appealing colour scheme
  
• Repaint of the MAN A20 now has the matching address of the transport operator
  

Optimisations / Map

• Added more (pre-)wayfinding signs in the intercity.
  
• New and updated advertisements for the passenger information display in the interior of the buses
  
• Outdated advertisements on modern bus stop buildings replaced by up-to-date advertisements
  
• AI traffic improved in various areas
  
• (Altenheim Merz / Moritzhallstr. in Herrenhof and at Hohenkirchen station)
  
• Some areas that are too narrow have been alleviated by means of alternative bays or by relocating stop lines at traffic lights.
  

Corrections

• Bus blockades near the cultural museum should no longer occur.
  
• Problem fixed where the money given for ticket sales was floating around wildly in the IVECO
  [Fixed small constructional bugs, among others the sunken clock at the south station,
  
• free-floating text field in Hohenkirchen and crooked houses in Treppendorf
  
• Problem fixed where (with certain settings) few but important objects were no longer displayed
  
• Problem fixed where under certain circumstances the AI cars generated errors,
  
• if the add-on "Enhanced Environment Pack" had been installed

The current version of the extension can be seen in the version file in the OMSI add-on directory or in the OMSI selection menu in the preview image of the add-on.
If the update does not take place automatically, you can also carry it out manually.
To do this, click in the Library - > Downloads area and then on the right-hand button next to OMSI to start the download manually.

Experience an exciting journey through the picturesque landscape of fictional southern Thuringia, characterized by rural idyll, village landscapes and mountainous climbs through to a more urban city flair.

The 50-minute main route connects two places and lets you experience the different characters of the two cities Hohenkirchen and Herrenhof as well as the contrast between the city center and the countryside.

For the more adventurous, there is also a 25-minute line that takes you to a winter sports center. The landscape has an altitude difference of over 220 meters and offers a challenging ride through the Thuringian countryside. Another connection is the shuttle bus to Luisenthal Castle, a well-known tourist destination in the region.

Another line connects the local spa with villages and train stations in the area. Here it is important to stay on schedule in order to reach the connecting connections as planned.
